love to see Mr M Bay make halo movie.

I"d Love to see Mr M Bay to make the halo movie. Its just a small dream i have since (not going to put studio names in) one studio and the other studio can't make it happen.

Could you imagin it other seeing what he did in the transformers movie.
But some dream come true (TF)
Other dream don't (Halo movie)

But thats life.

I had this discussion in another forum and the concensus there was a halo movie isn't a good idea because people will expect it to be true to the games. Now making a movie from a game can sometimes be bad or it can good. For example mortal kombat the movie was great, it had the right pace and it was enjoyable if not a little cheesy at times. It's like me expecting them to make a killzone movie, I know it won't happen and in fact I'd prefer if they didn't as the story in the game is fine the way it is, plus the cutscenes in that are more than enough. Halo is suspended due to all kinds of reasons and I don't think microsoft are going to put their name next to something that could turn out to be absolute drivel. I do know that having a good director is a key aspect, but if the cast have no idea what is going on, then money and drain come to mind.

Er Paul Anderson directed the mortal kombat movie and that wasn't too bad. Anderson probably won't do halo either for the same reasons I mentioned.

as much as i'd love to see Bay's version of a Halo movie...not sure if he's the right guy. Though he would make it pretty and colorful like the game. Which is why I am so surprised at how the live action shorts by the guy who was originally going to direct it. They are dark and gritty and totally not the tone of the actual games. Not sure how I feel about that.

Gotta agree with drdr here....Jackson did not screw up King Kong, it was very true to the original movie. In fact, there were some scenes that were cut out of the original that he put back in.

However, I have issues with the HD version. It is very pixelated, grainy and not all that I expected it to be in its HD glory. You could tell what was green screen and not.

But I digress.

Bay doing a Halo movie....hmm....yeah, him and Bruckheimer could team up again and do it. There'd be a lot of explosions (plus!) and not really a storyline ()....yeah, he could pull it off.

Id rather they didnt do a Halo movie tbh. If any legendary game had to be made live action, Final Fantasy 7 all the way. Or one based on the Lineage world.

I understand, and right now he is signed on as executive producer, but personally I think Peter Jackson would be the perfect director for this film. What I am saying is since they haven't signed a director on yet, it is still possible that he will be the one to make it happen. I love all of Bay and Bruckheimer's films, but for some reason I could just picture Jackson doing this one with the best outcome because he has such a great science fiction fantasy, and a movie like Halo needs that.

i think i hear something about a live action FF7 film was going to be made at one time but i think that is as fare as it got.

Anyways, I really don't know who would be best as directing Halo. Jackson, Bay, and Bruckheimer just don't seem quite right to me. Hmm... I'm going to have to ponder this.....................
