However, the white background has a higher text to background contrast than the light grey on dark grey, and in general, the higher the contrast the easier it is to read over long periods of time. That's why when giving a powerpoint presentation it's beneficial to the audience to use white backgrounds and dark primary colors for text. And while it is true that a similar contrast difference can be achieved with a completely black background, for some reason (most likely psychological rather than biological), my intuition is that the white background seems to strain the eyes less (again, over long periods of time). Not sure why on that one, though.


As for the forum itself, I like the style of the dark one, but I'm not sure yet if I'll be able to use it over the long haul.

I think making the letters a bit lighter should help with any eye strain problems. Getting one of those headaches KO's me for hours.

I was sitting here eating my food and listening to music, clicked on my bookmark for here and...suddenly I forget what I'm listening to This new look is okay I suppose. I had grown to like the other ones, but I'm also known as a person that takes a while for things to grow on me (example: the music I was listening to was the soundtrack for Metal Gear Solid 3, which is a game I've owned since it was first released and I just now got into it, lol).

Also, to those who were complaining about the font color, is this much easier to read?

Edit: to change your forum skin to the WHITE ONE:

1- Go to User CP
2- Under the Settings & Options, click on Options
3- At the very bottom of the page is a drop down box for Forum Skin. There is a white version of this skin on there. Enjoy
