well the fallen will turn on everyone and when he is destoryed or retreats the autobots and dcons suffer loses and they will both regroup and maybe team up in the 3rd film

if they have already set a date for TF3... then i personally doubt that the d-cons will win to me it will be the autobots with heavy losses and the d-cons will be chased into hiding only to have fights here and there later on......

I get the feeling there won't be any clear cut winner, I think both sides will get hit pretty hard but for now the Decepticons seem to have a small advantage and I want to see what part does The Fallen play in all of this, we know he has history with Megatron but from what I've read so far that relationship is not that great.

I don't think Optimus will die, firstly the trailers seem to imply that (I've seen in the past with certain trailers, that this rings true), and it usually ends up not being the case. Not to mention, one of the sins of the 1986 Transformers movie (which I loved) was that they killed Optimus Prime, and so early.

I think Bay said somewhere that he didn't want to leave a cliff hanger, but wanted to make each movie its own "thing". If Decepticons won, that will leave a 3 year gap to figure out "wtf is ganna happen?"

if u go back to the first one it was pretty clear that the autobots won regardless on how u see it..so why not give us DECEPTICONS the VICTORY that we need that way it balances out to a 1-1 thing

I think both sides will take a bashing. The decepticon plan will ultimatly fail, but I fear something dreadful will happen to the Autobots. The second act is where everything goes to hell. This makes the third act more tremendous when the good guys get redemption and win it all in a final ferouscious assualt.

Bay said he doesn't like "cliffhanger endings", but whether or not that was "misdirection" remains to be seen. How I'd like to see it:

The Fallen is released and proceeds to kick ass. The Autobots are severely damaged, only a few remaining Decepticons exist, Prime is Dead, Megs... eh, give or take, and the FALLEN ends the movie by summoning UNICRON to take out either Cybertron or Earth...

End with no prime, poor reinforcements, and the Transformer equivilent of SATAN gunning for what's left. Transformers 3, here we go!
