Who thinks Primes trailer should make an apperance in t2?

I think it would be great if prime had his trailer in at least one scene in t2. Just here me out for a sec. We all know that prime pulled his trailer eveywhere he went in the cartoon and fair enough it not being in the first one as it would look silly when he transformed and his trailer just either got in the way or disappeared. I think that prime should tow his trailer in the t2 and have it open up as per the cartoon and actually become the autobots base or part of it. Then it just stays as the base and doesn't go anywhere. Also roller has to make an appearance as well just for a nod to the fans.

I never liked the trailer at all. From the cartoon whenever he transformed it magically disappeared most of the time which I never got. Also, it does not make sense to be going into a (high speed) battle dragging a couple tons of dead weight behind you.

He does that in the armada series. His trailer becomes his legs and he becomes the upper torso. His legs become the arms. That should not happen.

The trailer is as iconic as the autobot symbol and to change it so drastically would not be cool. Who knows he may well have something to tow in tf2.

It would be a cool nod to the good old days but we all know that realism is a key factor for this movie. I don't think it would go over well, especially since in wasn't in TFTM. If it just showed up in the second movie wouldn't everybody be like WTF where did that come from? At least that's my opinion, to each there own.

If the allspark can transform into something that can be held in the palm of your hand, then I see no reason why the trailer couldn't do the same thing as Optimus transforms...I do hope we see it in Transformers 2..

Eh... I don't agree with that. The Allspark is a god-like element. It can do anything. On the other hand, Optimus really couldn't do that because the Cybertronians are more like humans. They're not gods.

Because of that fact, those things wouldn't show up in the sequel. The movie was made to look like it was happening in real life. It's the whole thing with Megatron transforming into a gun: it defies physics.

As for the whole trailer bit, I think it would just make the plot completely confusing.

But, I'm not trying to bash your idea because it's a good one.

Well how do you figure it would make the plot confusing? Seeing how the autobots are now stuck here on earth, Prime has a few choices for a base but seeing how the trailer could be used as the base it would be a great use for the trailer. That way it is only seen in a couple of scenes as he tows it along and finally finds a place that the autobots can establish a base.

However Bay may decide to go "well seeing how hoover dam is now unoccupied and is big enough for the robots to walk around in, we'll use that"

Give him a trailer, and give it the "God-Bomber" treatment from Japan's series. Also that raises a similar question w/ Ultra Magnus.

I don't think he should have his own special base/trailer thing, but I think it might be cool to use his "towing" ability in some fashion, like they need to "get this launcher into place" because "Megatron's making his big push and we've gotta push back" and we've "got better things to do tonight than die" (Springer had some cool lines)... or something. Whatever. Bay'll come up with something cool.

Could be cool if the autobots did some security work for the government or police where they had to transport some important cargo and Prime being a big semi and the leader is the perfect candidate to pull the cargo inside of this trailer that looks awfully similar to his G1 cartoon trailer... hmmm

When the cargo is delivered the trailer has served its purpose and is not needed anymore.

I Wouldnt mind if they used the trailer as a mobile weapons platform, like a massive version of the Gun the Trailer had in it during the cartoons. Eg OP brings in the trailer onto the battlefield and then drops it off and leaves it to fight. Meanwhile the trailer splits in half like the G1 toy and a massive gattling laser gun extends (or transforms) and starts plowing down the bad guys while the rest of the transformers. Or perhaps as an Anti- Aircraft gun, as the Decepticons were the most deadly when they were flying around?

I think it would be totally reasonable for Prime to tow SOMETHING, at some point, for a plot-related purpose. But I agree with the group, throwing in the trailer just for kicks is silly.

It would be far-out stupid to add it to SOLELY make the fans relive the old days - but say something had to be transported - thats a little to big to put in Bumbles back seat lol - then i guess a trailer would work, AND nod to the fans.

Because my uncle had never seen transformers before the movie, and he did talk about having a trailer, but did say it would be stupid to have it. So i guess that idea would work for fans and newcomers.

optimus and the autobots get a hell of a beating from the decepticons in the middle of the movie, and then the autobots make a battle station disguised as a trailer for prime, and kick some decepticon butt...

I love the trailer. but just thought about this primes trailer wasn't in the first film which would mean the autobots not the allspark which created them; would have to construct the trailer...If they can build with the help of human engineers... Why not also engineer the dinobots.woops sorry wrong forum,lol.
