"Rated PG-13 for intense epic battle sequences and warfare, sensuality, language and some smoking."
Apparently smoking now causes a movie to get rated PG-13.

The CGI water at the end looks phenomenal!

It appears that James Horner is not really a fan of Michael Bay's work - http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/hero...f-avatar-.html
Now it's Steve Jablonsky's turn to say that James Cameron wouldn't understand the soul of "Transformers".![]()
Need to promote a movie in an interview...diss Michael Bay! That seems to be the rule at the moment.
Avatar looks like absolute tosh so far, I'll concede that aspects of the cgi are impressive(mostly the scenery), but from a character design aspect those blue aliens are horrendous to my eye. So the story better be phenomenal. Ofcourse Cameron is capable of delivering an awesome story, but this is the first time I've seen a trailer for one of his films and been totally underwhelmed by it all.
If it didn't have Camerons name on it, I wouldn't give this film a second thought.
Wow, "Avatar Day," 15 minute IMAX previews, 3.5 minute long extended trailers, news that the budget is between 230-500 million, featurettes, new CGI motion capture technology stuff or whatever you call it, stereoscopic 3D....jeez, I sure hope this movie will be worth all the hype it's getting.
Those $9 movie tickets are not cheap! :lol

This is why I am trying hard to to click on any of the links...dont want to know too much before going into it.
And my cheap ass never pays full price for movie tickets.... I go to the little movie theater here in town ( Its actually pretty famous being in a couple movies that were filmed here..most memorable..Mr. Deeds with Adam Sandler) .. Matinee tickets are $5

Well, I don't know for certain, but it sounds like Bay and he is pretty active on the internet and he would notice if his music was being used in another trailer (Hell, I notice). He and Cameron are colleagues, they get along well. Either this is a silly attention grab by Horner (after all we did all come running!) or Horner's taking a cheap shot at Jablonsky (which is totally undeserved).
As much as I love the Titanic soundtrack, I hear Horner is pretty spiteful toward other composers. Sad. I really hope Avatar does well. I'm looking forward to it. I'm not horribly cynical.

Yes. Horner may be on the defensive because a lot of people have attacked his work and busted him left and right for sampling from other composers. He is also repetative. (Man loves his bagpipes and strings!)
The success of Titantic sky-rocketed him to a level many people believe he does not deserve.

That's the real Michael Bay?
Is there any way to verify this, because every guy can create an account with the name "Michael Bay" and post whatever he wants?
