I found it to be well done. The pacing seemed OK, the animation done well, and the acting was good (despite some corny dialogue).

Probably one of the best movies to use extensive CGI for backdrops and motion capturing.

Note the terms I used to describe this waste. He is a spoiled douche and he knows I think he is so..because I say it out loud all the time as he goes by.
I just dont understand why you cant have a decent convo with someone about ..lets say the movie Avatar..without some dicktard interrupting and voicing an uneducated comment.

I thought it was better then the disappointing TF 2 (Which i thought was inferior to the first movie) and is the best Sci-fi movie this year with Watchmen and Star Trek or even Moon.
I would also like to praise Cameron again for behaving like such a class act. I've seen a few articles now where the reporter attempts to goad Cameron into saying something negative about TF2 (in comparison to Avatar) and he has resisted the bait and/or changed the subject each time.
RESPECT!

Hmmm, that explains why Bay likes to use the same low key actors in his films, much the same way Cameron does with Bill Paxton, Michael Beihn, Lance Henrikson or Janette Goldstein.
In the end, I think when one director bashes another one, it's the same as when the little school girls bash the other school girls. In other words, they secretly hate themselves!
Well, I'm off to see Avatar in about 30 minutes with my mom. I'm going to go ahead and do the 3D, even though originally I was going to stay away from it. I guess one movie a year won't hurt my eyes.
That final battle sequence was just.....intense.
Predictable but intense none the less. Just the scope.
I thought it was a good movie nothing more, nothing less. Abover average story, good action.
However as something that has been sold to me as being one of the most visually stunning experiences of alltime. This is where it fails, I've seen it in 3d now (as it was intended) and I certainly don't think the cgi is bad at all, certain aspects are impressive. However the Navi are still very cartoon like, and stand out like a sore thumb.
I also think the Navi are also some of the most unappealing character designs I've seen in a long time, like something from the cover of a bad 70's Sci Fi novel. So all those issues made it a slight dissapointment for me, and not as hyped or excited as I've been after seeing Camerons other movies.
All in all though still a good movie, and glad I saw it.

Just got back from seeing Avatar in 3D. Overall, I really liked this film. I don't think it has completely sunk in yet, so I will probably have more opinions over the next few days on it......
1)Stephan Lang is fan-freaking-tastic in this movie.
2)I think 3D is only useful on a screen as big as IMAX....I did not like the sides of the theater giving contrast from the 3D view....actually gave me a headache...
3)I think this film could have benefited from having a few more scenes fleshing out the fact that they had made contact with the Na'vii (was that what they were called??)
4)Giovanni Ribisi was absolutely terrible in this movie.
...I am not sure a sequel to this is a good idea.
Yeah, I need more time to think on this, but this film easily makes my top 3 or 4 for the year...
Ironhide kills Barricade!!!
What's with the Titanic bashing? it's still a better and more well made drama then Twilight, do you all agree? or is Pearl Harbor superior?
Seen it yesterday.
I'm sorry for Bay and his crew, they did a terrifying job, but the VFX Oscar is for Cameron and his boys. The Na'vi and Pandora aren't just CGI, they are real. I believe Pandora really exists and they went there to film with the local folks.
And also I found a great adventure movie. There are some really clear script mistakes, and it's very predictable, but it's really exciting. Especially once Jake flyes with his moray-head flying lizard. From that momment the movie is an absolute roller coaster.
Cameron, I like you and I liked "Avatar"...but that's not cool - http://www.tmz.com/videos?autoplay=t...9-d84a40f5864c

I watched it and i must say... im blown away.I really am.I love this movie.I love this movie so much that i nearly hate it.Probably the most epic cinema experience i´ve ever had.Much better than any Bay movie by far.
But im not really sure if i LIKE the movie more than Transformers 1, even if its a better movie.Afterall, Transformers was also pretty mindblowing. Both movies offered me a great cinema experience.I need some time to think.
I'm sorry but those guys are hounds. They purposely get under the skin of celebrities just to film them doing something or saying something inappropriate. Celebrities are people, they have real lives and real feelings and don't want to get ambushed by cameras and questions everywhere they go.

I know these types of people, trust me. But the guy asking for an autograph did nothing wrong and he didn't provoke Cameron in any way. Cameron started the whole thing by saying, "I don't owe you a f**king signature ... just get out of my f**king personal space."
I'm sorry, but that's just rude and uncalled for, and it was good to see that the guy had the nerve to stand up to Cameron. Even if the fan was an autograph hound, that's not the right way to treat him. And truth be told, James Cameron has been known for his 'less than kind' personality, so I'm not really surprised.
