I saw today coincidentally the Trailer of Avatar. That is insanity. Thus I saw desire correctly. It is already interesting like James Cameron brings such a thing. Thus I am strained. Very curiously.

Unlike other people, I don't have a problem with the CGI, but these blue-like creatures are just.....too damn weird for my taste.

Hopefully Cameron will make us feel for them.

Saw the trailer not too long ago. I'm not impressed with it either way, the CGI or the premise of the storyline. Looks like the same ole "been there, done that".

The blue inhabitants look like a cross between the Kamino inhabitants in Attack of the Clones, and Dr Manhattan in Watchmen!

I'll probably still go see it, but I'm not really excited about it. Next few movies on my anticipations lists are

    2012
    The Forth Kind
    Legion
    Zombieland

I never even watched the trailer yet. But lacking trailer or not, I'm pretty sure that this movie is going to be a hit anyways. I mean, when you attach the name "James Cameron" to any movie, OOOOHHH!!!!! It MUST be good!!!!

Of course, despite how overrated I think Cameron is, that doesn't mean I wont see Avatar. Hell, It'd give me something fun to do during the holidays.

"Legion" looks like total sh!t. Good title though...

*laughs" I could say the same about Avatar.

But Michael vs Gabriel. Interesting indeed. I always wondered, what if bible thumpers were sold a twisted story. Maybe God is really the Devil, and the Devil is really God???!!!!???

your obviously one of those people who only like movies because of all the colourful explosions and actions and care less about story and character.
The Transformers movie may be eye candy, but the story and character development was pretty low. Thats why people always give Bay a bashing.
Sorry Bay, i like your movies, but there are much better directors out there.
not all of them. piranha 2 was a crappy b movie.

this is something bay never did. create a crappy directorial debut. bay started out strong with bad boys.

but i like both of them though.

I just saw the trailer. I dunno what to think. The blue alien people look rather uncanny to me. Still doesn't mean I won't see the movie though.

I think they looks like the aliens in independence day..a little bit. No matter, I look at it me times. More trailer much actually íst promising. Hopefully that is not cut. Is here in Germany so usual. Which where other starting from 16 years is, is here usually starting from 12 then. Amusingly the whole.

My mindset is changing right now. My previous post above I composed immediately after I saw the trailer. But after putting a lot of thought into it, I must say it looks rather exciting. The visuals look spectacular to my eyes. I mean, seeing robots or mechs fighting the Na'vi got me interested.

The Na'vi faces still look weird to me though. I have a better time looking at a the prawns in D-9. Maybe they'll grow onto me as more promotional material pops up. They look pretty badass in combat.

But the trailer is pretty sub par. With the movie being this big, the trailer obviously doesn't do it justice. Hopefully we'll see a more badass one later on.

The only thing that's throwing me of is the eyes for some reason they look flat and too doll like in some shots so it makes the rest of the Na'vi look like cgi but if you look at that last picture from the nose down it looks like some one in makeup, with that said I still don't think its the big leap in movie making I was expecting and before some of you say "well what where you expecting" I don't know but it wasn't that.
Me and some of my friends where talking and they kept going on about how its a JC movie and that how Titanic was a big hit and all I can say is this is not Titanic, that movie had a familiar event, a major love story and all the girls going crazy for Leonardo, what does this movie have blue people that know one has ever seen before, a story that at the end of the day that we really don't know much about and most of it is in cgi which lets face it the general audience dosen't really give a damn about technical stuff in movies just as long as they are entertained as evidence with the crowd actually cheering and clapping at the end of GI Joe(I had to take my nephew).
I have bet going with three of my friends right now, they think this movie will out gross the top movie of this year which right now is HP6 and that it will surpass the Transformers in US ticket sales if I win that's $300 in my pocket, I think the movie will do good but hopefully not that good.

Maybe I needed to read this thread better, but I heard Sigourney Weaver is going to be in this, which is cool.

I like SFx... a lot of friends make their living at it, but it does nothing for me without good acting, writing, story etc. From the trailer, I'm a little perplexed, so I'll rent it unless friends want to go... it looks interesting but... peculiar.

For me, It'll definitely be something to look forward to during Christmas break. I gotta avoid reading reviews between release date and the time I actually get to see it. Cameron hasn't directed a movie in EIGHT YEARS so who knows how much he still has in.

    Yes, 11 years, my bad.

btw, last time I checked, the term "fag" was another name for cigarettes. There are better ways of expressing your dislike of Titanic. That was just immature.

Saw the trailer before Final Destination (Booooo!!). Not sure sure why all the hype about Cameron using some super special 3D system, but it just looked like regular 3D to me. And the fast moving images really do a number on your eyes.

You had to go see the 15 minute preview to really appreciate what the experience was like. The trailer doesn't do it Justice. They're still working on the CGI untill the end of November.
