As completely awesome as it was, I'm kind of sad too. Sad because this is probably "it." I think the next big thing we get is the ticket to the movie. A little less than 2 months to go!!!

Mr. Bay probably has a robe made from $1,000 bills and a sports car lined with them. And that's just from the Transformers money.

So I think most will agree that Soundwave isn't in the trailer. There's the close-up of a badass looking protoformish robot in the end, with what I could see as a Soundwave-ish head, but I doubt it's him, he doesn't have visor eyes and I really, really like to believe Bay will let Soundwave keep that iconic part of his image. However, there are two more of those robots in the trailer shortly before the close-up, getting the crap blown out of them. They all appear identical, so let us speculate:

I suspect they might be connected to Soundwave in some way. Orci said Soundwave has a twist to his character which is an important part of the story. At first I thought those were just 'Cons who landed in Egypt for the battle without taking earth modes as they're clearly protoforms, but why would they all be the same? Like clones almost--or perhaps MINIONS.

I think it's safe to say Ravage is one of Soundwave's spies, and I suspect the tiny insecticons also fall under that catergory. But what if these full-sized cannon-fodder bots were warrior minions of the big S? All rapant speculation of course, but we'll see!

Wow, maybe it's just me, but I haven't seen you post in forever! @_@

The look-alike 'Cons could just be drones, not minions. I think that may require more bg story time (note the 'may' part) that would subtract from the film's over runtime, whereas it's not really needed.

The other little buggers could be spies for Soundwave, but again, Starscream had/has his share of followers as well. Either way it doesn't really matter I guess.

Most likely, I don't think they would cut out a character Bay himself wanted in the movie (after seeing the Volt).
It's good that they leave some characters out of the trailer.
We still need better looks on the Biker-bots, Sideswipe and the other 21 proto-forms entering earths atmosphere.
I'm so psyched about what Soundwave actually will look like, how he will sound and also how he will act. Is he a pawn of the Fallen, a follower of Megatron, or does he do his own thing entirely with other agendas?

Gahhh... speed up the less-than-two-months left!

At what point in the trailer are these "minions"? I don't see anything that ressembles a protoform in the trailer except for the ones hitting the carrier and the 20 or so that are in space flying towards earth. Please post at what time so I can look

It will be successful everywhere, the only people who won't be entirely satisfied is critics, they rarely enjoy any comic book adaption.
