This has probably been mentioned before, but with 35 pages of posts, it's hard for me be entirely certain.

What is the possibility that we'll at the very least hear a mention of the Chaos-Bringer? The Fallen was (in the comics at least) a disciple of Unicron, one of the first 13 transformers, who turned against his fellows and supported the world-devouring Transformers equivilent to Satan. I'm not asking for Unicron to show up, transform, and go on a rampage; that'd be the kind of big-ticket thing you'd wait until the NEXT movie to show. What I'm hoping for is maybe someone (Screamers, Megatron, Optimus, SOMEBODY) make mention of the beast and MAYBE, at MAXIMUM, show the surface of a planet with horns moving through space. THAT'S IT. Nothing more! It would establish the threat the Fallen possesses if he's even awake enough to send a beacon to Unicron (a' la Silver Surfer to Galactus), set up another sequel without having to really use a cliffhanger (which apparently Bay dislikes from his trashing of the ending to Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest), and it would leave everyone kinda at an "oh crap... it's not over" frame of mind at the end of the film SUPPOSING the Fallen does... well... FALL!

Again, it's probably me :deadhorse1:but if I make a valid point at least, someone justify my post with a response?

I would also like to see Unicron in TF3, but I highly doubt they will mention him in the movie. The mythology in the movies is not the same as before.
However, every movie has its unanswered questions at the end. Last movie, it was 'why did Megatron turn evil? Where did the Allspark come from? Why did the Transformers we see created in the last movie act like animals? (dispensor, phone, Xbox)'
I am sure TF2 will have its own unanswered questions and it is there that we find Unicron. Think inderect.

Thank you all for replying! I'm glad I didn't come across as some overzealous Geewunner fanboy looking to put his two cents in...

... but, I'd like to take a moment to respond to your answers as well. First off, I don't see why Unicron's massive size would be a problem (maybe not to the scale of a PLANET, maybe moon-size to give the surviving transformers a SHOT). After all, you have to get bigger and bigger in these kinds of movies, and frankly, how the hell do you get bigger than "Devastator" (still trying to find out how they plan to explain away the little slip-up in movie one...)

I do agree "planet-eating" would be a tad... cartoonish. Death-Star style destruction would make more sense. I still like the planet-like alt-mode simply for sake of being able to blend into the cosmos. Of course, in order for that to happen, he would have to be solid.

Sir Bay, if you're out there listening in... I know it's too late to change your mind regarding TF2, but there are cries for TF3, and we hope that going from the TF Antichrist (the Fallen) to the TF Morning Star (Unicron) would be a logical and meaningful step up in danger for our favorite characters.

I might be alone here, but I hope Bay doesn't even consider Unicron. The whole planet eating idea is terrible. If it worked, Fantastic Four 2 and The Day the Earth Stood Still would have been worth watching more than once...if at all.

Unicron is a big ask, but still much more practical then dinobots.
Orci said that they had looked at the concept of unicron a few times, and would tie into Fallen story nicely. we can only live and wait see what loose end TF2 gives us, exciting times

TRED.com is obviously Leo.... but if you delve into the past pages (And ignore his love of a certain woman) you'll see blurry shots of Prime and StarScream.
