I sure am glad you are here to tell us these things, Captain Obvious. I would never have known what a movie trailer is without you!
Have you never been excited about something? Something you've been waiting for months to come about? Well, think about that something, and read your post again. Someone, somewhere is saying the same kind of shit about you.
Well, shiet, I'm excited and I don't even class myself as a Transformers Die Hard. But I'm a Bay Die Hard, and a new Bay Film does make me excited. And I'm excited to see this new trailer.
before anyone asks again, according to Nelson's time, 6 hours from RIGHT NOW.
I don't think anyone is taking a day off work but sure people will stay up a few hours extra to watch it.
And we are all excited because it will probably be the best action movie this year, Fast & Furious, X-Men were mediocre films. Star Trek will probably be a huge disappointment as well considering it is helmed by J.J. Abrams (yawn) and I am sceptic whether Terminator Salvation will be as good as Terminator & Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
And of course everyone wants to watch the trailer in its highest quality on a HDTV, who would want to see a rubbish flash version with pixelation?

Actually the Showest stuff Bay shared with us was much lower quality than the officially released trailers despite it's higher bitrate. Partially because it was a mix of lower-resolution renders upconverted to 1080p, but also I believe it had been recompressed a time or two. Compare a frame from the Showest footage to (almost) the same frame from February's trailer, and you'll see that the Showest stuff is much more pixelated, in addition to being muddy.
I'm sure Nelson would have a better idea of why the Showest stuff wasn't pristine, despite it's high bitrate.
if by pst he means pacific time, it comes out in 5 hours
I'm guessing because they were still werking on action sequences when they cut the clip... Prolly just because while directing the characters you can render the frames quicker using a lower quality so as to be able to change and tweak animations faster and see how they will look... After they get them how they want them then you finalize the animation using the final high quality render... maybe.....
Can it just be summer already!?!?!?!
man, this is so awesome!!!!!
im gonna put it on my teacher's projector!!!

just another little update before people start asking what time it is for them...
4 hours and 15 minutes from RIGHT NOW.
By bitrate, he meant downloading speed not resolution!
Yes, they can crash, because it has nothing to do with the download speed... if a huge number of people are connected to the same site downloading the trailer at the same time... IT WILL CRASH!
But hopefully it won't happen to us!!!
Nope bitrate is the bits per second, the higher the bitrate a video file has the higher quality the video will be, but as he mentioned the ShoWest footage is slightly pixelated.
I never said they wouldn't but Yahoo and Apple have reliable servers, they rarely crash. Transformers 2 is going to be awesome but I wouldn't go as far as to say it will crash Yahoo's server because of the release of the trailer, it is about on par with the other big named movie title trailer releases and they didn't cause any crash.Yes, they can crash, because it has nothing to do with the download speed... if a huge number of people are connected to the same site downloading the trailer at the same time... IT WILL CRASH!
But hopefully it won't happen to us!!!
