Yahoo doesn't usually suck, they get a lot more premieres than Apple.com but today they really messed up. They planned this release date and time days ago and still the HD version QTL files are still linking to that stupid WMV yahoo event video...

Idiotic. I do this for a living -- on a TV show -- uploading HD & SD formats all the time for various recipients. I wouldn't dream of posting a link as live if it wasn't working. No wonder Yahoo is in trouble. They never get stuff like this right.

It's beyond absurd that there was a delay of four hours so the good folks who made the flick supposedly could do some CC fixes, and all there is to show for their extra trouble is a horribly compressed Flash video that looks almost worse than the bootleg. (Seriously, that thing was better compressed than what Yahoo has online right now.)

Either the HD links deliberately aren't available today -- in which case the site should state that -- or they just aren't functioning because somebody screwed up. Either way, Yahoo screwed this up hugely.
