I think he could either die in the middle of this one and "resurrect" by the end of it (you know, for the big fight).... or die at the end of this one and come back in the third one...

I say he gets pretty injured, but not die.
Then, in TF3 he sacrifices to destroy Unicron and save the universe.

I would like that to Optimus died in the second part. At least this would be a vital and realistic and not like in a fairy tale. if something that happens in the movies would be in reality, Optimus and his team would have Fallen long ago killed in the two accounts
And I would not like that would be later in the third part of it alive. This is as silly. The film should be realistic, if dead, so dead! I do not like that though, and Jazz with Megatron risen, complete delusion. If they are killed, let it be dead.

BB dies at the end, Optimus and Jetfire combine, The Fallen is banished- but not killed, Scorponok escapes again, and Ravage will be badass.

ya, i can see BB dying...and possible optimus still....but isn't it rumoured that scorponok is using his spark to bring back blackout? which means he'll die, not escape...

no one dies, at least no one important. The writers have already said they liked the way the original Star Wars sequel was done, this one will be similar: a gigantic cliff-hanger. Autobots fight Decepticons, Decepticons fight each other (Megatron's team of all the TF1 Decepticons + The Fallen vs. Starscream's team of all the new guys brought back from Cybertron), and in the end of TF2 somehow Unicron is summoned to Earth, setting up TF3 when ALL transformers will have to bind together to defeat Unicron. Megatron destroys The Fallen for leading him down the path to evil and is himself destroyed in the process. Old wounds are healed and thus "all will at last become one", the Allspark is restored and all huge robots head back to restore Cybertron taking Sam with them... at least thats how I'd like to see it happen...;-)

Anywho, i think optimus would be beaten soo badly to the point that he's about to die, but then jetfire sacrifices his spark by combining with optimus, therefore saving primeit's a theory so dont bash at me lol

Just from watching the trailers and reading the comics, as well as watching all of the Bay movies... there will be 2-3 "major" character deaths, as well as tons of minor character/human deaths. BB is our hero- and judging from his love of Sam, and the two scenes of him A)getting shot up, and B)in the tread/tentacle arms of Rampage- he will die protecting Sam and the Twins at the end of the movie. I can also see the Twins joining/combining at the end to protect Sam and/or defeat a major enemy.
Starscream is my vote for, "Most Likely to Get p0wned By Megatron".

I don't think they'll make the same mistake they did in the 86' movie with killing Prime. However, I do think that Optimus Prime will be severely wounded in Revenge of the Fallen.
Besides, its too obvious (it wouldn't even be a surprise, as it was in the 86' movie). The trailers really hint that Prime will be killed off in the 2nd movie, and I think in alot of teasers/trailers they like to throw off its own fanbase - which I think is the case, here.
