I have an update on this.

My boss finally gave me a copy of what was sent to him. First off, he tore the paper so I wouldn't see the e-mail address of the person that sent it. Funny, he told me there was none. When I looked at it, there was a big problem right away. The entire first paragraph of what I had originally written was gone. It would have set up the context and everything. Whoever did this must have thought I would never see it. Idiot. I haven't found any errors in what was there, and I don't regret any of it. I meant what I wrote and it was nothing extreme. My boss ordered me to never bring the e-mail up again. That's not going to happen. Not by a long shot.

I don't know for sure the identity of the person that did this to me, but I'm pretty certain who it could have been. Once my boss learns that it was doctored, he might tell me.

Listen, I'm sorry to meddle in like this, specially without being invited to "solve your problems" (I was just checking the threads)...

But to me, the solution is really easy... and it may help you for future scenarios, as I read that things are getting better at work right now...

1. Just trust yourself... if you haven't done anything wrong, there's nothing you should be afraid or scared of.

2. Talking problems out has always worked for me... but always give all the facts and keep track of them, because that's the only way that you're gonna be safe.... see how your co-workers lie fell by it's own weight??? he doesn't have all the facts, or he manipulated them!!!

And 3. If you want to write your feelings on a public board, you could be a little cryptic about it... I mean, never write "I hate my boss" or whatever...

I repeat, this has worked for me, but I also think it wouldn't harm you in any way.... and remember, this is just an advice, and you're free to take it or not.
