If they put everyones fave Autobot triple changer in the movie what should he be?
My idea for his Helicopter form.
Mi-24 Assault and Attack Helicopter
And his car form.

"I'll crush you just as easily as Megatron crushed Prime."
Wouldnt work. Mass shifting remember, it has to be (now) 3 vehicles of roughly the same mass.
Not necessarily with triple changers. You can't do it without mass shifting a bit.
But when they say no mass shifting I think they mean on a more grand scale like Megatron turning into a gun or Soundwave turning into a cassette player.

"I'll crush you just as easily as Megatron crushed Prime."
They are not gonna hold true to the mass shirting on one thing and not the rest man. I don't see a helo turning into a truck.
If they want to do triple changers they will have to. And it's not that big of a deal, it's minor mass shifting really compared to a robot turning into a gun or a cassette player.

"I'll crush you just as easily as Megatron crushed Prime."
I agree, no mass shifting. So what about a smaller, tighter attack helo, like the US Comanche? (at only 7,700 pounds, it's about the same weight as a combat Humvee) Although I would be perfectly happy if Springer, one of my favorites, wasn't a triple at all and only turned into a Comanche

It's very minor mass shifting though and whats wrong with doing triple changers?
And I like the Comanche, but I think that suits the helicopter from the combaticons better (Vortex).

"I'll crush you just as easily as Megatron crushed Prime."
minor mass shifting or huge mass shifting, its still mass shifting.
And Bay wants to keep it real without parts dissappearing.
And the Assault Helicopter turning into a Nissan??? Thats HUGE mass shifting. Its probably 3 times the size of the Nissan.
Another thing is that the Nissan won't be used. Why? Cuz its Japanese. Michael Bay wants to keep all Autobots to be all American. He didn't say that but look at the cars he used for the first one. And look at what GMC mentioned about the Topkick, its got All-American written all over it.
I like Japanese cars but American cars are so much more aggressive not only in size but also appearance and thats why they worked so well in Transformers. The Nissan you showed is like something you take your family to go buy groceries with Haha!
But yeah, I think the idea of triple changers is a bit too far-fetched. Anyone who truly understands the idea behind Michael Bay's vision of transformers will know that it won't work, just like how the idea of Unicron won't work.
However I do believe that the Commanche helicopter is the only suitable choice for a triple changer cuz it is much smaller and the shape and appearance of it is not complicated and can almost take anyform but you gotta remember, glass doesn't "transform". So the configuration of the glass on the cockpit will have to stay the way it is OR they would have to just separate the glass it where it meets at the frame, if necessary during transformation.

Well if they don't do him as a triple changer, I still like the two choices for him as ethier one. As I said I think your helicopter is best suited for Vortex.

Has Springer been confirmed as a robot to be in the movie?
Autobot presence detected... Commence extermination.....
-Soundwave 2nd in command
No one's been confirmed, they don't even have a script yet.
And I wouldn't want to leave a cool bird like the Comanche out of the Transformers world just because the shape seems to "fit" a specific cartoon character, who probably won't ever be used. As cool as it would be, I really doubt we're going to see a combiner in these movies.
Ah, but remember, it's not really glass! or rubber! or anything else you would expect. These guys did not come to earth sporting glass plates and rubber tires which could conveniently reconfigure into earth vehicle shapes. so Transformer "glass" can shift into any shape needed. I'm not talking about morphing, but the glass panes should be able to slide about into any configuration imaginable.
Well Springers natural Cybertronian form just looks like this.

Actually I have been a fan since the original show premiered and I know very well who Sprigner is. That might be why in my original post I suggested those 2 forms for him. Ah logic.
No, I ment in the current comic run Springer is shown on Cybertron before they came to earth and he has only the one form I listed above to transform into.

Geez you're touchy. What comics are you talking about? IDW? In Stormbringer, it only shows Springer as a helo. Is he that other vehicle in Devastation?
Well you kinda insinuated I didn't know what I was talking about.
And it's in one of the origins issues (IDW) they've done and in a preview for the new More Then Meets The Eye issues, I will scan and show you.

No man, there's no right or wrong, there's a dozen incarnations of every character. When you said he *is* a particular vehicle, I just interpreted that to indicate what incarnation you preferred. (I read a post by some kid obsessing over how Optimus is supposed to be a monkey and not a truck, so clearly a Beast Wars fan.) Here's Springer's pre-Earth Stormbringer (2007) helo:

I know, The version of Springer this is comes after that, he limited himself to one transform mode, and his mission was to kill Bludgeon It in a series called "Timelines" it's really nicely done man. you should give it a read.

That's the Botcon comic, isn't it? Sort of a standalone series, right? Not IDW, I think.
It's still part of the IDW liscence I believe.

Springer: oh, look at me! I am a decepticon turn autobot for no apparent reason and I am a trusted autobot to boot. I'm so cool!
"...my heart is turned to stone; I strike it, and it hurts my hand..."
I don't think you're reading that right. He fought in "the War with the Decepticons", he didn't fight "with the Decepticons" in "the War". He was always an Autobot. Grimlock invited him to join a team rather than fight solo, he didn't invite him to join the Autobots.
