Just because Bay is directing Transformers doesn't mean he needs to direct other robot movies.

No offense, but I dont think Bay wants to become the big robot movie guy. He's a legend of action directing, and if TF2 turns out to be a huge hit it will magnify that. Same for TF3 if he directs it. But if he starts doing all these other projects that share the theme of giant robots, his future projects may be stigmatized.

I think the TF series should be more of an opportunity for him to branch out into other areas as he has with science fiction, to do different kinds of projects and be given a serious shot at them. He could be sort of like the next Spielberg.

I wonder what the look and feel of Voltron will be?

And if they will attempt to keep the same theme music....

i think Bay has set the bar as far as reviving 80's toons. Bay has laid down the Gauntlet now lets see who can rise to the ocasion and challenge Bay and The Transformers. One man cannot create everything as much as i would like to see it happen

I argee. Im worried that Voltron will be a laughing stock going by a outline I read. Not even Peter Cullen being the Narator would save it well he would a little.
