i think ROTF will blow this out of the water. I believe ROTF will blow the first transformers out of the water.

Not a chance if it is 2 1/2 hours long... remember, it only did like 27ish on its first day last year...really frggen good, but a 140% jump.....it would be great if it does that, but i would prefer to see it be strong for a full 10 days like it did for the 1st movie....it had that great first 3 days and then it did 70+ over the weekend and shocked hollywood--27-30mil a day for a week would be awesome!!!+ it has competition starting July 1st--Public Enemies opens...not that it will beat TF2, but it will take the female demo from it due to Johnny Depp being in it....

I say TF2 will pull a solid 150-170 in its first 5 days....and do another 100 in the following week....that is huge business.....

Mr. Bay deserves this record---I could only imagine what the weekend tally would have been if it remained on the 26th.....Maybe for TF-3

Oh I wish so hard that they build an IMAX theatre either in Sweden or in Copenhagen (Denmark).

Since we get the special in-yerr-face-treatment here in Sweden I have to wait until the 26th to see the movie. Hopefully we will have a midnight opening too, in which case I can see it during the night, and two times later the same day.
As a sidenote I can tell you that the Swedish translation from the official transfomersmovie site states "De fallnas hämnd". Basically meaning "Revenge of the Fallen [ones]".
Hopefully the translators got this info from an official source and didn't make it up them selves. This confirms the fact that the title doesn't just point to the Fallen, but indeed to anyone that fell, either during the last movie, the Wars or even before that.
Dunno if it's interesting or not, just wanted to share the info.

It is a very very safe but that this will roll records the first week and beyond. I think we are going to see some cutting edge CG and technology as well. It's going to be sick.

That's actually a tough call for me. Little kids were allowed to see Harry Potter because parents knew what was coming most of the time. With TF, it's probably a lot harder to convince parents to take jr. to it. I'm hoping that it breaks the record, but we'll have to wait and see.

The closest IMAX theater for me is 84 miles. I probably won't be seeing an IMAX movie anytime soon. I will just be glad to see it in any theater.

I think ROTF will do at least 50 million opening day.
