Thread: Transformers Blu-ray Extended Cut?

  1. #1

    Default Transformers Blu-ray Extended Cut?

I was just on the Blu-ray forums, and they are talking about the possibility of a blu-ray extended cut of transformers that will come out at the same time as transformers 2 in theaters.

Was there any extra footage shot that was not put in the movie? Would it be just the Extra minutes from the imax film?

Just wondering what your thoughts would be on this. Also just thinking about it up on blu-ray but if there is an extended edition coming out I may just wait for it.

i doubt there's an unextended cut coming around

i saw extended cut in IMAX, it really doesn't add much to the movie

they're just little short comedy bits

If you already have the Blu-Ray, there's no need to buy it twice for the extended cut. They should've added a deleted scenes option in the 2nd disc

The mention of this is something that was just started through rumors, but I doubt its happening.

http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=2047 that's the link. I think I will be getting the extended cut since I don't own the Blu-ray yet. As soon as I heard news of Paramount intending to do an extended cut release I decided to wait. One of the insiders over at the forums said Paramount has about 18 minutes planned so far.

Currently, I watch movies on DVD. But for an Transformers extended cut, I would change my homecinema to blue ray. I´ve seen some blue ray footage and was just overwhelmed. The difference to normal resolution is astounding.

Michael Bay has found his golden egg man, he took Transformers and ran with it, I'm a fan of the old tv show and the movie, and i gotta say he made a SICK adaptation and i cant fucking wait for the next one, he needs to make at least a trilogy for this franchise

According to the Blu-ray Disc Association the spelling of "Blu-ray" is not a mistake, the character "e" was intentionally left out so the term could be registered as a trademark.

The correct full name is Blu-ray Disc, not Blu-ray Disk (incorrect spelling)
The correct shortened name is Blu-ray, not Blu-Ray (incorrect capitalization) or Blue-ray (incorrect spelling)
The correct abbreviation is BD, not BR or BRD (wrong abbreviation)

Well I doubt that an Extended Cut will include new CGI.
    Best regards from Germany!
