DINO BOTS why not and here is why

Dino-bots are stupid. This is transformers brought forward from the 80's and modernised, not transformers animated-which is so bad i want to scrape my eyeballs out with a rusty fork.

I think dinobot would of worked fine. As someone said before could of landed and took the form of a t-rex from a Musium area. Ever heard about the show "Walking with dinosuars" Its an robotic animated dino show. Why couldnt one of the autobots landed in an arena that had this show going.

All this talk about well Scorpions are alive today and such. A scorpion isnt the size of a freakin tank is it.

I think the autobots made the dinobots in the cartoon didnt they? Wasnt the reaon was to have some more strenght to take out devistator?

Dinobots are cool in G1 but they have no place in the movie-verse

You can put Swoop, Grimlock, Slag, Sludge and Snarl all in the movie-verse but they would have to be vehicles of some kind.

Of course you can go the skorponok, ravage route but they would have to find an actual dinosaur to scan first which obviously doesn't exist. And, no, scanning dinosaur bones in a museum won't do.

The only thing I can think of is, that the Dinosaur-like ALT mode is their original cybertronian robot mode (beast mode, if you will) and then he can transform from beast mode to vehicle but without an actual Humanoid Robot mode.

Because the way we saw Skorponok is his original Cybertronian Robot/Beast mode.

They (the Dinobots) wouldn't really have to scan a dinosuar. There is enough info online about dinos' that I'm sure they could get a form from that.

Frenzy is the only decepticon we saw scan something (the cell phone) in the first movie.

I didn't see Blackout, Starscream, Frenzy (to begin with), Barricade, Scorpinok, Bonecrusher or Brawl scan anything.. did you??
What exactly is it that Scorpinok and Ravage scan???
I've not see robo-beasts like them before.

I never saw Bumblebee scan anything either. He was just there already.

the reason you didnt see any of them scan something is because they did that in the comics that were done to show what happened before the movie. So all but the beast bots did scan something. And you do see all the Autobots scan something when they come down in the movie. Also Bumblebee scans twice. Once when he takes the form of the older camaro and then again in the movie as the new camaro so this is proof from another thread that TFs can re-scan if they need or want to as well.

I think if they wanted to, they could look at a pic and mimic then what they saw. They obviously can pick up wifi signals. searching the net they could get they dementions and such of what they wanted to look like.

The only issue I have with the Dinobots is they don't make sense in this rendition. They would have to be like Pretenders. Alt mode being a dinosaur would be bad enough, but a mechanical one... What good is that for 'hiding in plain sight'?

I haven't read all of the posts, but here is my arguement. Scorponok exists because he can easily hide himself. If he is threatened, he can just dive underground. Where is a giant dinosaur going to hide? It wouldn't make sense to make them triple changers, and they surely couldn't hide in a history museum since they aren't all bones. There just isn't a good way to explain them. The idea is to hide in plain sight.

just cuz we didn't see it happen, doesn't mean it didn't happen. The Decepticons and BB have been on Earth, hiding, long before the others arrived.

And Skorponok and Ravage don't scan anything because the forms you see are actually their Cybertronian forms. What you see them as, is actually their robot forms. We don't actually see their ALT modes.
