    @Bumblebee

I'd have to agree with your boyfriend. "Snakes on a plane" was a pure waste of time. It's so deliberately striving to be campy, that ultimately it fails on all accounts. Actually, I couldn't name a single redeeming quality about this movie. There are films you can enjoy with some buddies and a crate of beer - "Snakes" was aiming for that I guess - but ironically by trying to hard to cater to the AICN-crowd, this plane took a crash-landing.

Oh, and just to stay more on topic: Last movies I've seen (again) were "Casino Royale" (on of the best Bonds so far), "Blue Thunder" (a classic) and "Be Kind Rewind" (enjoyable, but ultimately disappointing).

Totally gotta agree with ya on Casino Royale. Daniel Craig did a pretty good job, but in my book, Connery's still the number one Bond.

Yup, Connery's the one all others have to look up to. Worst one: Timothy Dalton, although both "A View to a Kill" and "License to Kill" were enjoyable.

Oh, and I totally forgot to mention yesterdays guilty pleasure: "Under Siege 2". Now THAT'S a C-picture I actually do enjoy (Caipirinha included, I should add )

Haha.. why they chose those actors as Bond I will never know. And here's a guilty confession.... Connery's my favorite but Brosnan comes in third for me. The guy can't act too well but I thought he did a good job as Bond. Just like Reeves in the Matrix. And Craig's doing excellent... second place for me!

Hmm... what other movies have I seen? Well, sometime I'm gonna see 10,000 BC 'cause it looks good and comes out on my birthday. But I just recently saw MirrorMask. AAAAMAZING!!!!!

Actually, I also think Brosnan did a fairly good job. Shame the scripts were not up to par... Let's see, what do German Cinemas have to offer for MY birthday..? Oh, great, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", "The Poughkeepsie Tapes" and "Religolous". On the bright side, I'll probably be in Amsterdam.

Yesterday's movie: "Wer früher stirbt, ist länger tot" which roughly translates to "You die first, you stay dead longer", official international title is "Grave Decisions". Hilarious German (specifically: Bavarian) comedy.

Very Bad Things - WTF? Great movie. I like how everyone ends up insane especially the part at the end with Cameron Diaz.

    Connery was "the Bond"

Craig is doing very well at it, and Brosnan did a very good job as well. He was a natural for the Bond role, and I loved "Thomas Crown Affair"

I've got "Jumper" on a memory stick, Perhaps I'll find time to watch it this weekend

Jumper isn't all that great according to my coworker. She read the book of course and Hollywood bastardized it to no end.

ANYWAYS, I saw the Bourne Identity last night (yup, just now catching up on that trilogy. LOL)

It was great! Of course I love Matt Damon.... Him in this role was goooooddd.....so I'll have to rent the other two now.

*cough* Anywhoos, what I don't get about the Academy is that the action and cinematography is maybe two notches below Bay's action...yet, they are the ones getting all the awards and such for sound mixing and editing.

    WTF?

Thanks for the tip, ...and that's why I don't read the books....to avoid utter disappointment

I'll watch it anyways...and let you know

The bourne trilogy was amazing. It kept me focused, and excited throughout the series....After seeing the first, we rented the other two and watched them back to back a few months ago. I can't believe I waited so long to see it either. Damon was perfect for the role.

I imagine the prizes were one based on the series as a whole. The music does fit the movie

Books are generally better than the movies.

    I think anyways.

because of the imagination factor........don't have to worry about how to put it on screen, and how much money to spend

I just simply don't have time for both....and since I'm a guy......its all about the visuals........where as women are such audible creatures

    Yes, watch it. Definitely.

I've reordered my Netflix queue to get the other two asap. I'm really interested in this trilogy after seeing the awesome-ness of the first one.

Well, we watched jumper last night and..................................don't waste your time with this movie.

    Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic!

The whole movie just seemed like a 13 episode tv series crammed into a movie.

...glad I didn't pay money to see it

"The Bourne Identity" didn't really grab me, so I gave "The Bourne Supremacy" a pass. I saw extended clips of "The Bourne Ultimatum" at a trade show (amongst others, the chase at the London train station) and decided to give it a chance. Glad I did, it's one of the finest action thrillers ever, even if it loses some plausibilty towards the end.

Haven't had a chance to catch up on part two. I bought it on DVD right after having seen "Ultimatum" but when I looked for it some weeks later, I was unable to find it. Only the receipt turned up, which at least gives me confidence that it is safely tucked away with all the other movies...

Last movie I saw: "The Kingdom". (Again.) Great, simply great. Action with at least some brains. How often do you get that?

I saw Ringu a few days ago, which is the japanese movie the horror movie The Ring is based on. I actually prefer this version. Director Hideo Nakata is really good at creating a creepy mood. Some genuine scary sequences too.

Last night I saw Joel Schumacher's Tigerland which was surprisingly good considering the guy who directed one of the worst, most annoying movies of all time is behind the camera. However, it's not one of the best war flicks I've seen but it's a different take on the war in Vietnam so I thought it was interesting.
I would say...Transformers (Of course. XD), then it would be Howl's Moving Castle...The Fifth Element (God I love/hate that idiotic DJ guy. XDD)...I Robot...Has anyone seen Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children? CG rocks!
