Rambo - I didn't think it was too bloody. I mean if a Barrett M107 .50 caliber sniper rifle shoots someone in the head its going to explode. The mg at the end is the same caliber so it going to leave huge holes in a body too. I would say this movie kicked some major ass. I loved it. The story was great and the way Stallone portrayed Rambo being of old age and thoughtful was just fantastic. During the mg shoot we didn't get the lame ass yelling while shooting a big gun into a huge crowd scene. He actually had to reload and kept it cool taking his shots respectively. That was awesome. I really liked the end were he decided between the road and home. This movie deserves to be on par with Rocky; a great ending of a series to two iconic characters. Stallone is the fucking man.

No Country for Old Men - Good movie but forgettable. I'm not impressed. Yea it had great acting and such like everyone says but its boring. Not worth a second seeing. If this movie did not have such a good villain it would be trash. I felt in every scene I was waiting for him to return just to see him kill someone or antagonize them. Every time he kept saying "Call it." I kept thinking this would be Two-Face in a new Batman movie. I don't hype movies up until I see them but ultimately I was disappointed in this one.

The trailer looked funny, but I never got to see it.

    Thanks for the warning.

    Care to elaborate?

"Meet the Spartans - A fucking disgrace to a great movie. It should be banished for all eternity. Theres not a damn thing funny in this movie. You have got to be retarded or 5 to find anything amusing. I never hated a movie until this."

What I said about it a few pages ago. Worse than a Uwe Boll movie. I have an absolute hate for this movie. I am glad I watched it on the net. I even fell asleep twice during it and its only about an hour long.

It was quite interesting seeing it in 3-D.

But I don't think they're able to replicate that on DVD.

It's like the bloodiest animated movie I've ever seen, but very true to the original story...which I've had to read numerous times in high school and college.

Yeah, with Beowulf, only in 3-D was it worth watching. I have no desire to see it again. Although, Crispin Glover as Grendel was creepy good.

Just saw Gone Baby Gone, don't know how I feel about how this movie ended. Otherwise, I enjoyed it.

    Sunshine. Very interesting.

    bewoulf was boring, yeah.
but the score was breathtaking. one of the best old school scores in the last 5 to 7 years.

anyway, saw no country for old men finally.
and finally a movie i wasn't dissapointed by. pretty great "old school" movie.

which leads to one of the biggest dissapointments ever, sweeney todd. what the fuck? it was a musical (which i usually love, moulin rouge is one of the best movie experiences ever), but there wasn't ONE, NOT ONE good sounding song in it. Ah well.

I dont think Sweeney Todd was supposed to have any 'happy or good songs', it was a good movie for what it was.

Beowulf, well I loved that, really enjoyed it and the soundtrack rocked. Enjoyed the whole film. Made me go out and buy Beowulf and Grendel, which was not so bad either.

Meet The Spartans had some funny parts, but i probably wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again.

Cool Re: What movies have you seen lately?

So... I've just seen two rock-awesome movies:

    Howl's Moving Castle and MirrorMask.

....apparently my friends are trying to convert me to Anime/Manga genres. Woot!

Don't do it man! Support American animation! lol

Lucky Number Slevin - Holy crap what a great movie. Pacing and writing are awesome. The direction is cooky-cutter, i.e. no cool shots or styles, just plane old camera work which is fine. Lucy Liu is adorable and the rest of the cast is well acted especially Morgan Freeman and Bruce Willis.

Haha. Maybe I will, maybe I won't *wink*.

I wanted to see that movie. *sigh* Yet another "wish I wasn't in college so I could watch that movie" moments... MUST ADD TO LIST!!

well, i didn't say i want happy or good songs. why would i want happy songs in a dark movie (doh).
I want good dark sounding songs. With atmosphere.
They still can be "dark", "unhappy" or whatever, as long as they're not just pure crap.
It was just a text sung to some music in the background. No need to make a musical for that.
Anyway, whatever. Worst musical movie ever (and it gets 10 out of 10 points here in germany. good stuff!)

Team America - Finally watched it. Fuckin hilarious. Sure, some scenes (sex, puke, blowjob) were awful as hell but the other stuff was great. expected some left wing liberal stuff, but actually was a very conservative anti liberal piece (although making fun of everyone overall).

Snakes on a Plane - Expected some real trash b-movie so bad it's good again. Was a standard polished action movie though.

My friends told me about Team America and how funny it is. I probably don't wanna see it. Though I am into political humor, I'll pass on Team America.

If you wanna see a b-movie, see Asylum's "Snakes on a Train"!!!

Ohhh Snakes on a Plane. What a cult classic. A very BAD cult classic that is.

I only saw it because I love love LOVE Samuel "Motherf'ing" Jackson. And the line "I'm sick and tired of these motherf'ing snakes on this motherf'ing plane!"

Waited all movie to see that.

I remember seeing it with my dad and little brother and boyfriend. Yeah, my dad and brother and I laughed all the way through it, but my boyfriend, he failed to see the humor. =(

Some of it I felt was a little over the top (ala the bathroom scene.)

Hey wasn't being personal or anything just saying, they have modified ST for 2008, the look wont hit the sound, they still had to keep a certain level of originality, the play has been around for years.
