Jurassic Park I, those graphics looked so much better back then lol... I wonder if thats ganna happen to Transformers 15 years from now

Transformers, it has been playing on HBO a lot so I decided to turn it on. Then when I realized half the screen wasn't showing up (Frenzy & Fish scene, you couldn't see the fish, Autobots outside house scene, you couldn't see Optimus (barely)), I had to put an end to the botchery and put in the dvd.

I just watched Across the Universe, the musical using Beatle's songs.

    Listen to the soundtrack.

    skip the movie.

    It was terrible.

    SPOILERS!

I know it should be my responsibility to connect the dots, but this movie seemed to ask me to paint the whole freaking picture.
Well, I figured as much. Couldn't disagree more, but then again I guess you're simply not part of the target audience. Maybe you'd also better steer clear of some other recent masterpieces like "No Country for Old Men" or "In Bruges" - some painting required ;-)

Went to watch Fast & Furious, X-Men Origins Wolverine and Monsters vs Aliens 3D during the last week/s.

They were not outstanding considering I was highly anticipating F&F and X-Men especially, Monsters vs Aliens rather than laughs (which you get in most animated movies) was merely giggles but the 3D effect was nice though, that made up for the movie.

The thing about Fast & Furious, is Yahoo, Apple.com released so many featurettes and clips that after I had watched the movie in the cinema I had realized I saw everything there is to see via those clips and featurettes.. kind of ruined it although as you said it wasn't that great anyway.

I don't mind up ended movies. but damn it, I want an end. I was about to cry my eyes out a the "end" of the Wrestler, but instead, I was screaming "What the fuck" at the TV. since the copy I saw was a promotional copy lent to me by a friend, I seriously thought that the ending was cut out.

I'm not made they didn't show his fate. my hatred for this film rest in the fact that they cut my emotional experience short and left me angry. angry not at the "ending" but at the bad story telling. how am I suppose to like or respect a movie, that makes me "almost" feel something.

and yes, I did yell at the TV. I had to apologize later cause I realized it wasn't the TV's fault. We've only just now started talking to each other again.

Just for the record: "The Wrestler" is NOT an open-ended movie. And I certainly wouldn't accuse Americans in general of being able only to enjoy low-brow fare.

I really liked the third one actually. It just had this sense of foreboding and dread throughout it, like you could almost tell that Judgement Day is coming very soon.

"The Proposal" - As far as formulaic romantic comedies go, this is one of the more enjoyable ones. (with the atrocious "27 Dresses" defining the bottom line). Silly, predictable, but nonetheless funny.

"Inside Man" - Great, slick thriller, that's a tad predictable but captivating nonetheless.

Same here, starts at seven. Not a fan of trek but i have to admit, the new one looks good.
