I saw Knowing on Saturday. Wow.Let me just say WOW!! Some of the best cinematography that I've seen in a while. The plot was pretty awesome too. Predictable, but awesome.

I couldn't resist seeing"Watchmen"
today. I went into it without reading the source material and I enjoyed it a lot----------It's not a Michael Bay film that's for sure {one that I will see 5 or more times this summer} but definitely worth a Monday Matinee viewing.
A creative signature would be right here if I wasn't such a procrast.....
Monsters vs. Aliens, loved it. Obviously not a masterpiece like Wall-E or the likes, but for a Dreamworks Animated film, it stands way up there among some of Dreamworks's previous projects.
Steve Colbert plays a great president.![]()

I just saw Coraline. I read the book so I thought I knew what to expect, but it just blew me away.
They call me Ratchet Girl for a reason. Sometimes Skids girl.
Yeah, I'm a girl...SO FREAKING WHAT????
http://www.youtube.com/user/Taybrian1 I'm a Youtube star! (Not really, I just get bored.)
Underworld - Rise of the Lycans: The worst of the series, but worth watching. There are some nice points and sequences, but other awful.->5/10
Gran Torino: Some cliches and some things quite obviously pointed, but Clint is great and the movie has heart and soul. Very touching. -> 8/10
Coraline - Have to agree, good movie. I took my niece to see this, ended up being something for the both of us. Slightly dark and twisted, from Neil Gaiman and Harry Selick (Nightmare B4 Christmas). Almost Alice in Wonderland-like, with a hint of Beetlejuice in feel, but with stop motion animation. One I look forward to watching again.
Let the Right One In - Good movie to watch on a cloudy/rainy day. Not your typical vampire film. Does away with most of the lore, keeps the essentials, and then lets the story unfold. The story is pretty simple, yet it uses the vampire angle to double as metaphors for companionship and loneliness, and the ending leaves it open to interpretation. If you can handle its slower pace (could've been a tad shorter, IMO) the movie is worth the viewing.
I Love You, Man - Funny, but personally not as funny as Segel and Rudd were in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Seemed to me that they were allowed to riff of each other a lot more with the lines and I felt like it showed, some of the punchlines felt like they were take 20 of a scene.
Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) - Aside from Bay, another director I'm unapologetic about being a fan of, is John Carpenter. Good B-Movie stuff going on in this, and like his other films, pop in from time to time to watch. Has a lot of stuff (technique-wise) in it that would go on to serve as precursors in more of his later (and more well known) films.
Back in the 80's, I would stay up late at night just to catch it on HBO.
I Grew with an Escape from New York soundtrack LP. It is such a killer soundtrack... and the same goes for Assault on Precinct 13 : its main title is simply mesmerizing.
I still play both soundtracks today... and as I am writing this, i realize that it has been almost 30 years... fuck - sorry, this one had to get out.
Gotta love that John, he's the reason I fell in love with movies.
Australia...good movie...even though im half way through
looking at the scene selection, looks like things are about to get preeety rough
