French views about Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen

I just watched the movie trailer with french dubbing (awful!), and read some coments about it.
It's just some kind of a perception about what we (Frenchies) think about Michael Bay's movie. I'll try to translate them words as good as possible.

Of course you can comment. It's just some advises of my "fellow citizens" , I thought it could be interesting.

Sounds darker than the first one. It's better becuse Transformers was just some parody of Mecha Shônen.

That's all Michael Bay : explosions, no screenplay. I'm not waiting it, even if some pics are good.

Sounds the huge kind of movies as Michael Bay knows to do them. Anyway, SFX are great.

I don't think. Michael allready did it in Armageddon.
But some are disturbed (?) by the geography he gave to our capital city. Not a problem for many others : the esthetic feeling of Michael is most approved and acclaimed.

Mr. Bay has always been better at the action/SFX/soundtrack end... the storyline is there, but is usually way overpowered by the other aspects- not that I'm complaining... we've seen in Pearl Harbor that the storyline just gets in the way, anyhow...

Two mistakes in the first two shots of the trailer :
First , what does the Eiffel Tower north of the Concorde place? - yes I know, Americans do not know Paris.
And two, in the first shot the asteroids are passing on the left of the Eiffel Tower, and on the right in the second shot.
Anyway, dark sequels are now a cliché, almost when they don't respect this way - like int Harry Potter 6.

Well, it's more because of the screenwriters, I think. I think that the Island's storyline was good. But yes, in an action movie we want... action.
And yes, we loved the trailer. Not everybody (of course). But some reactions are strange. Some told they wouldn't see the movie because thee was no music in the trailer :deadhorse1:, for example.

Yes, certainly. But it's a good trailer, and the fact there's no music is good, I think. Something new that changes for better.

For those who think it's "only Michael Bay" and "there's no storyline", it's good to remember this is just a trailer.

Strange trailer, and don't inspires to see it. There's no music and the black cuts make me think about an horror movie. I hope the movie's better because I'm waiting for it since a year...

Yes, this is new too. We don't have the whole movie in the trailer, and we don't know exactly what it is about exactly. It will be a surprise for you. Less for us, because here everybody will have told the storyline before it's in theaters.

It's hard to have an English subtitled version for that kind of movies - most people prefers to see it in French... I'll wait the DVD issue, as the last time.

100% Michael Bay and Steven spielberg. The storyline can be bad, but with these special effects I love it.
And about the asteroids, you can see some of them on the left and on the right because there are more than two.

Michael Bay doesn't think, he just destroys anything. And he does it very well.

Hard to discover the french voice when you only know the original. The stoyline seems being good. I hope it will be the same for Transformers 3.

I saw the trailer o an other site. It was brighter and better.
Except for th carrier that looks CGI, the whole thing is really good.

Really not good. No music, only some metallic and mechanic sounds that remains Power Rangers. I liked the first one, I gonna keep this, and won't go to see that one.

For those who thinks it's bad because there's no music... You sucks, it's a trailer. The score will be amazing. But yes, of course. We are too much good to see that kind of movies. Just have some French comedys as "les Ch'tis". Good French movies, with god actors :deadhorse1:and good (erf) jokes. Good idea : don't see it, I'll be aloe and I love that.

Excellent! Don't say it's bad because there's no music. It keeps an ambiance and some secret... But the first teaser was more mysterious. Of course, I gonna see it.

Where can I vote (for a screenplay). Seriously, the first one had some kind of a quest : they had to find the Allspark, protect it, etc... What do we do now? Just watching at robots fighting each others? It's only some kind of a revanche story, because the decepticons didn't like losing in front of the Autobots. But the fabulous Camaro and Megan Fox will maybe save that movie.
