Just seen this over on Jalopnik....From the Chicargo Auto Show (I think).... it's simply the Autobots driving about with the original Movie score over the top..

BUT!

the combinations and lack of certain vehicles could be a hint as to the way the Autobots team up in the movie?

I miss-saw the end of the clip.... thats Ratchet behind the Volt and Vette..... Not Ironhide as i originally thought

Ratchet only got a bried glimpse at the end. Kinda funny that he was covered up by the Jolt. Lots of symbolism there. Has our chief medical officer smelled his final pheromone?

I'm still convinced that Ratchet is going to be sitting a lot of this movie out. Not because he's dead but for a greater good somehow. I've felt that since the beginning. It would make sense for him to be catering to Prime but maybe there is something else, Jetfire maybe?

Totally with you on this concept. I could see him and Turturro's character working along with Sector 7 to study Dcon technology and rehab Autobots. It would also be a great way to introduce a sexy blonde scientist. Now we're cookin!

I was only aware of Human cast on THAT shoot...... Wasn't there that picture of Prime in a cargo jet in the rather large gallery posted here a few days ago? Maybe thats how they get around?

That's right I completely forgot about that. Also wasn't there a pic of at least Ironhide in one of those huge planes the military use to hual equipment. Like a cargo plane.

remember there was a rumor out there saying that Jetfire could open small wormholes or portals. Maybe with the help of Jetfire the Autobots will be able to travel by way of portal. Makes sence on why they would need him if indeed he does have this ability.

also i think the reason you dont see alot of ratchet is because they are mainly showing off the new models and designs for GM for what is going on the assembly line soon where as ratchet is a custom made H2 Hummer just for the movie a vehicle like ratchet doesnt even exist except in the movie so since you cant buy him at a car lot you wont see it much in the auto show videos.

I'm not sure introducing space/time travel would be a good idea in these films. Maybe Jetfire can transform into a phone booth and........

and this is why i believe they didnt show Prowl. Yes i still say he is in the movie but being the chevy malibu is a production model and not a concept car and Prowl like Ratchet would be a custom car, they would not have a reason to show him in the auto show vids.

A flaw in that argument is that Ironhide is also retrofitted with aftermarket modifications. You can't get Ironhide like that straight from the dealer. (even the 3rd party replicas aren't the same, for street legal reasons)

We're not even gonna mention the Peterbilt, right? I'm not assuming anything plotwise (or wanna know) until I see the movie, but the H2's absence did make me do a slight double-take, for different reasons. The fact that GM is trying to be more car-centric at the moment, perhaps? (read:Hummer brand is taking a beating right now)

I was referring to the H2's absence from the compilation and the subsequent roll out at the Chicago Auto show, not the movie.
