    Default Raising the bar

Okay, we all know how much TF1 raised the bar for action, sci-fi and what not. But Transformers ROTF is really gonna have to be a step up from this. Not just in story, but here are the little tiny things that I totally never seen before and just wowed me:

    -Blackout's Transformation
    -Blackout's badassness
    -Frenzy's quirky moves
-Barricade speaking for the first time, IDK why, but this was the part that really amazed me. Just hearing an alien robot speak for the first time just wowed me. I can't describe it.
    -The Autobots' entrance
    -Optimus Prime's Transformation
-Just the Autobots plain talking in general, especially Optimus. Again, hearing these guys talk made my jaw drop
    -Megatron's entrance
    -The Bonecrusher scene

Right now as of this text I am watching Transformers, and I realized how accustom I have become of this amazing stuff. It's like I wish I could just forget the entire movie and watch it again just to get the same feeling I did in the theater. So yeah, how on Earth is TF2 going to make all these little itty bitty things look like nothing?

I think there is going to be a lot more bots fighting it out and there will also be a race against time to do something or find something that will make u sit there on the edge of ur seat thinking are they going to make?
but I know its going to be very intense!

I'll be happy if the story gets an up grade.

Yes, I would be too. But I am looking for that adrenaline rush. When I saw the movie in theaters, that was probably one of the biggest adrenaline rushes I have had. Now after watching Transformers many many times, it has become a regular part of my life, just one of those "blah" moments. When I see Revenge of the Fallen in theaters, my expectations are going to be extremely massive. This movie is not only going to have to exceed my expectations, but surpass them. This means Bay and his crew are going to have to make something beyond what my intellect can comprehend, which is what the first movie did.

    I hope that happens too!
when I fist saw it I thought OMG this is so cool!!!
it's got me thinking when we first see megatron and
    :lolwhen Mojo peed on Ironhide.
I hope Mr Bay has to move into a bigger house so he can fit all his award in!

TF raised the bar for CGI/reality interaction to a whole other plane, period. From the reflections on the bots to the minute details if their mechanics, there really hasn't been a recent movie that upgraded the CGI/reality plane.

    Let me see....

    - Opening scene, chaos, different place, different feel, Ironhide possibly being the first character seen kicking the ever loving sauce out of some new 'Con's with NEST?

    - Starscream, is all his glory, instead of having one weak line, talking to his entourage?

    - Bumblebee with his new voice interacting with the Sam at school?

    - Optimus' first scene, not over done because we already know what is up and he's the f**king man?

    - Barricade? No matter what, if any of us see him, it's going to cause a roar

    - SOUND "FKIN" WAVE - Are you kidding?

    - Constructicons - Muh AH AH AH!

Do you think it will be as exciting? Or better? We are going to get the ride, and it's going to be awesome!!

This is just my thoughts.....I'm losing my mind here

Michael Bay will raise the bar for VFX for the third time with TF:ROTF

He did it with Pearl Harbor and then Transformers and then he will do it again this summer

Good, because if I spend anymore time at the bar waiting for this movie, I'm going to have an ulcer the size of Dotty!

I'm hoping for a car chase scene with robots transforming to and fro between vehicle mode and robot mode in high speed. And not just one on each side, but several, at the same time. And that without blurry-shakey-cam.
It would also be real nice if they made it a bit scarier, not just more massive and bigger, but also more unnerving. From the looks of the pics of Ravage, we might get something in that direction, I love the looks of it/him/her/whatever. Imagine a small corridor chase scene, involving Scorponok, Ravage and some humans. Neato.

Gestalts/combiners will probably also take this movie up a notch, not just for their size, but also for their looks and new abilities.

Dogfight scenes between robots, go that. Even though Jetfire might be old, I'm still pretty sure he can hold his own against Starscream (at least if he keeps some of his coolness from G1).

    ---

To further on which moments in TF1 that struck me I can name these (besides the one's Trailbraker already stated):

    - Starscream vs. Air Force, transforming in mid-air. Jaw-dropping.
    - All the talk in Cybertronian. I loved it, and hope they use it to some extent in the sequal too.
    - The size and movement of Blackout when he attacked the base.
    - Duhamel's "we are so dead.." when he realizes that Blackout has joined the final battle. It really gave the sense that the Transformers are supreme, powerful and so dangerous that we really shouldn't be able to beat them.

It will be epic. As great as TF1 was, this is going to be breathtaking. I can feel it!

I am with everyone with the visual aspects for the movie along with the story line. But lets not forget about the sound effects and score!! I know when I first heard Blackout starting to transform and the slipped in the old sound effects from the cartoon along with the other sounds. That was so freakin' awesome. I just love that sound. Then the score was wonderfully done also.

sorry to burst ur bubble but I'm hoping that Devastator won't be in the movie.
in G 1 the constructorcons flew up to form Devastator and it looked so corny!
but it would look kind of cool if they had jet packs!
