Besides, for some reason the second pic makes me think about the least Optimus Primey pose of all time:

    Safety dance/Breakdance Prime.

Wow, I thought I was the only one. Indeed it's bad. I always likened it to a "Well hey thar little lady, I'm Optimus Prime!" pose. Like he's bending over to talk to some human woman at her level, and introduce himself like a cowboy.

I've always kind of thought of Optimus as a bit of a cow boy!
with the two pistols and he acts like the sheriff but with a bit more fire power taking out the baddies!

A youngster like you and Trails wouldn't know this, or at least it wouldn't be obvious to you, but the original theme of Optimus Prime was quite timely in its own way. Much of his nuances are modeled after John Wayne, and the music from the original seasons of the cartoon is thematically representative of the sweeping epic orchestral music from American westerns that the writers of the shows and makers of said music grew up watching.

Not the theme song, but the scoring of the shows. With sentimental string and horn sounds taken right out of a western. It's an obvious connection, with Optimus as the John Wayne archetype of the whole show. His colors are essentially red white and blue, he's tall, his voice and accent are very heartland-of-America, the list goes on.

So of course he's a bit of a cowboy. I just don't know about that pose

    Thanks.

Ever since I became a hard core fan after the movie (it more or less jumpstarted me cuz I was a fan of Armada back when I was little) I became very eager to learn every nook and cranny of the franchise so long as I have access to that info. (comics I have yet to read because I have never been to the comic book store)
