Left-hand-drive or right-hand-drive??

The ultimate question: Which do you prefer to drive more? A left-hand-drive or a right-hand-drive car?


Of course, as far as street-legality is concerned we don't have a say. Whether left-hand-drive or right-hand-drive is legal depends from country to country.


But then on the racing track, they usually permit the participants to race with both left-hand-drives and right-hand-drives (for example some American racers drive imported right-hand-drive cars from Japan on American racing circuits, and vice-versa).


Anyway, bottom line is, what is your personal preference and why? Just curious. Thanks.

I just can't imagine shifting with my left hand...I vote left hand drive

I've driven both, but ultimately (as you stated, being so region dependent) the majority of my time behind the wheel has been left handed, which predisposes me to being more comfortable on that side.

For the sake of argument though, I choose:

Center (with shifter and pedal positions left to personal preference, of course)

I have driven a few right hand drive cars. but its more of learning how every time. Not like just jumping in and playing with the car like nothing out of the ordinary.
