roughly yes... thats a very basic version of the Robot mode.

I'm surprised at the number of peole bashing Jetfire's look based off a rather basic toy.... doesn't make sense to me.

Are you seeing a re-occuring theme here...Autobot Countdown...Autobot Jolt...

I thought there was an earlier release saying the Volt was not going to be a T'former. So much information to process.

We first questioned why they called Springer "Autobot Springer" and now the packaging says "Autobot" Countdown. I wonder why they are placing Autobot in front of the bot names?

Simple, Hasbro can't secure the rights to just the term "Springer" or "Countdown", so to avoice copyright infringement, they use the "Autobot" Prefix to make it work. They had to do the same thing with Jazz and Ratchet.

you are right Trail. In fact you will see a lot of this in the near future. Hasbro lost the rights to a lot of names so they had to go with the Autobot or in some cases Decepticon name before the bots name. I believe in-order to keep the name they have to re-regester it every 7 years... i think. They just re-aquiered Starscream, Combaticons and Shockwave's names.

Why would you want it on the shoulder. I actually like it on his forearm. It's more G1. It also makes more sense. It's his weapon, so he just has to move his arm to aim rather than turn his whole torso.

Ok well I watched Transformers the movie again last night and I knowticed two small things that I didnt before. During the part of the movie where Prime gets Sam back from Secter seven and Ironhide yells that they have incoming...if you pause it right when the Autobots take positon and take out weapons... Optimus steps back and points at the oncoming secter seven SUV's as Ratchet pulls out not one but two hand pistols and grips them sideways like a gang member would before shooting you lol. Also in the shot where Megatron lands in the city and picks up and throws the white car... that cars plate says Energon on it. If you pause it at the right time you can clearly read it.

I'm pretty sure the energon plate was posted a while back

Somewhere around here is a still pic of the car with the plates that say Energon. Also Shadow if you read this, is the book Transformers: Ghosts of yesterday the same as the prequel comics? I seen this book advertised as the prequel book to the movie and just wondered if they were same?
