Totally Cool Idea for the Insectacons

So I was picking up my kids toys tonight and two of them happend to be Insectacons and I thought about how the giant sized insectacons of the cartoons would never work because the scale is wrong for a movie. After all why would you have a 40' tall robot that can change into an insect the size of a car! Then I thought about how, in the movie at least, there are robots of varying sizes some bigger and some smaller like Frenzy who can shrink to the size of a radio. And then I thought about the rumoured combiner in TF2 regarding Arcee. Then I thought about how in the cartoon the Insectacons could mulitpy into dozens of themselves and then it hit me.

Why not have an Insecticon that is a swarm of millions of correct to scale locusts but then the swarm assembles itself into the 40' tall robot! How cool would that be! You could have the swarm of locusts doing damage to all kinds of stuff but then let the Autobots show up and he combines into his robot mode to kick some Auto butt. Or you could have the swarm going after a human like Sam and then what are the Autobots going to do to kill it?

Just a thought.

Yeah, I'm not promoting this for TF2 since it's all ready wraped shooting but didn't know were else to stick it.

IMO, this is too similar to what was done in both Constantine and The Matrix: Revolution.

I think it's a cool idea.
However, maybe just having Insecticons as robots that turn into tiny insects that swarm could work as well.

Suddenly, putting Dinobots in Transformers movie doesn't sound so unrealistic

They can only do Insecticons if they do it like Skorponok. And that is, they just don't explain why he's a scorpion and the assumption is that his mode as a scorpion is actually his Cybertronian mode which makes complete sense.
