Mine is 15 minutes if the theater have TF 2 available cause last 3 months im trying to see TDK in IMAX and they don't have it available but they have Kung Fu Panda instead so my dad have to drive me 1 and 1/2 hour to Virginia just to see it in IMAX. It was in the space museum where TF 2 was filmed last june. So when june 2009 comes and if they have it available, its a 15 minutes drive, if not then 1 and 1/2 hour and its gonna be worth it though.
looks like our boy Shia got hurt again.

"...my heart is turned to stone; I strike it, and it hurts my hand..."
I think there's an IMAX about 45 Minutes away from me if they've not closed it - it's nearly got closed several times demolished even - It's infamous as it's a stand alone building right in a spot that spoils loads of peoples sea view.
I'd not bother going to see Transformers 2 there unless I made a day of it an had other plans in the area.. but it should be a decent time of the year when TF2 comes out so perhaps I'll go to the seaside and make a day of it - Thanks for making me think of that

Oh and I like the idea of almost identical cars that turn into robots in a totally different way -that is an interesting idea.
I think it's just the one robot though. I would have been a little happier with the Character as "Stinger" though for 2 reasons.
REASON 1 : Stinger like Barricade was in the 1st movie could have been a conceptually cool "New idea" character that people could admire for it's originality and concept. a Character who skates about on his tires and skewers bad guys with big swords. Ninja on Rollerskates
REASON 2 : Bumblebee is conceptually interesting in that Originally his name probably came from him being a 'BUG' but the name does suit the camero if you think about it - Bumblebee looks like an Insect in robot mode - with the battlemask and the wings.
The color scheme he has is rather amusingly called by GM "Bumblebee". and dates back many decades. and Bumblebee's are known for their tenacity in attacking wasps and boxing above their weight. all which fits Bumblebee as well or even better than it does the Beetle.
Now with the Corvette the name "Stinger" for me also worked... The name stinger seems the ideal "Nickname" for a Corvette 'Stingray' like car. it references his little sigil Badge too which has a Stingray sea creature on it.
Then in robot mode his big pointy stick weapons are rather like the Stinger on a Ray.
To me he looked like a character that referenced aspects of Blurr,Hot Rod,Tracks and others but was still unique to itself.
But none of what it has seems to shout "Sideswipe" to me so I miss the lack of the Development name.
I admit to being a bit disapointed now.
you bet!! If I have to I might camp out there just so I can get in and get a center seat and take in the full effect of the movieHey Chip... you need to put up a profile pic of you so when the movie comes out and im in line I can look for you. It would be cool to see it with a fellow Bay boards member.
It seems like I had read somewhere a member of another board suggesting Michael Bay release the name of one robot every month till time for release. I thought that was a very good idea. it would probably help prevent some attacks on his property and would keep interest in the movie going among those that aren't just Transformer or Michael bay fans.
Everywhere I look you're all I see. Just a fading f@cking reminder of who I used to be.
I am confident that we are all going to be pleased in November when the marketing campaign begins.
As for releasing names to avoid attacks on his property...esh. If that was the only reason, I would hope that Bay would lock down everything and refuse to release a single bit of information until the movie premiere. There is no question that we are passionate fans, but it does not give anyone a reason to invade private property.
oh man, I'm anxious to hear some new set reports which including the mention of things blowing up and soldiers shooting with automatic weapons pointing 45 degrees towards the sky and of course Autobots or Decepticon vehicles driving around at high speed in the mix of all that action
