I just got a wierd e-mail

I just got a weird e-mail at my Yahoo account.

Here is what it said:

Your message to: smatice@allegancounty.org
was blocked by our Spam Firewall. The email you sent with the following subject has NOT BEEN DELIVERED:

Subject: RE: SALE 89% OFF

I almost just marked it as spam, which it probably is, but the message makes it sound like I was the one sending the spam. It's just weird, and I have never gotten a message accusing me of spam. kind of makes me wonder if someone didn't hack my account.


What do you guys think?

It is apparent that the firewall seems to pick out words in the email including the subject. When it has the words like "SALE 89% OFF" it makes it sound like you are trying to sell something to someone, which is stupid. And here is another reoccurring thing I have noticed with spam email. Many of the spam messages I get have the "RE:" suffix in the front. I have no idea why spammers like to put that "RE:" on there, perhaps making it sound like you contacted them before? It's beyond me.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the message you sent about?

Don't know. I never sent anything to these people. the email has some text files linked to it, but I ain't opening them.

I got the same message last week. It listed me as the sender and the recipient was a total stranger. It left me questioning for three seconds...then to the trash.
