Accept the cultural/social divides of America. Palin is a good politician with strong beliefs.
Disagree with the Governors policies, maybe, but don't question her intelligence. Sarah Palin's academic record speaks for itself.
She'd be good for a director of a PTA, or as a PR person, or even as US Ambassador for Ghana, but not as VP or Prez. There are a ton of Republican woman that are light years more qualified and smarter than her.

Wow... Nelson admits there are smart Republicans!!?

Overall, the best minds are not in politics.
Professors from University, many fit the required profile. Obama has nothing these people don't have. It's all about money/lobbying.
The cult of personality politicians enjoy is wacko.

Why not? It's an opinion poll, it's not like we are actually voting.

No disrespect to non Americans but their opinion does not matter. They should not vote in this poll.
Besides, Dems always enjoy huge support worldwide. Sometimes for the wrong reasons.

For 2007, the Palins paid $24,738 (LINE 63) in total taxes on gross income of $166,080 (LINE 37), which is a 14.9% tax rate.
    Charitable Contributions:

Haha, there's nothing you can do about it, besides, last time I checked, this is an internet forum, forum members can express their opinions however they want, so long as it is appropriate. Doesn't matter if they are from another country. Seems like to me you are denying free speech to certain board members around here.

P.S., their opinion does matter. If the whole world hated us I think it would matter a lot.

    The world always hated us.
Americans should travel more, there is nothing to see. In Europe they have huge social/economic issues that have nothing to do with America.
I was in France on 9/11. Average french guys in the street laughed, they loved it.
Europe is a mess, they have massive extremism problems.
Learn more about the world, America is the light.

Oh for crying out loud, this is what drives me nuts about Republicans. They would rather take the time to attack their opponents because they "supposedly" had these relationships with bad people years ago. Why can't she blast him for the real issues, like the economy?!!! Hello? What happened to that?

Yes, and since we inspire nations, we work with them. That is why their opinion matters.

A new method of campaign advertising is here.

A new and peculiar channel popped up on my Dish programming guide. If you are a Dish Network customer like me, you will notice the Obama campaign bought channel 73 and use it for a continuous loop of campaign ads. Conservatives of course will be blasting this, unless the McCain campaign buys it's own channel as well.

    My predictions for tonights debate...

McCain maintains eye contact with Obama and the camera.
Obama, fresh off the terrorist-friend allegation goes for a knock-out punch against McCain.

What do you think will happen tonight?

And what would this knock out punch be?

It'll be where the people who are for Obama will still be for Obama. Those for McCain will still be for McCain. Those who can't make up their minds probably won't vote... maybe they will, maybe they won't, maybe they just aren't telling.

I've tried, but I just can't get behind Obama for president. I like Joe -- him I'd vote for... but he's not the whole ticket.

I am not sure what it will be...but I have a feeling that he is going to try to do something to catch McCain offguard.

OOO....the arguement is beginning during the debate!

Watching the debate right now as of this writing. It seems like at first that McCain isn't focusing on Obama once again, he even got up and paced around a bit while Obama was speaking. But later on, it appears something (or someone) reminded him to maintain eye contact. I really wish that they would do the split screen thing for some of the shots where it may be necessary of the time in this debate like they did in the previous one, it really helps.

Let me get this straight...we are:

1-2-3 Fixing healthcare, energy and social security simultaneously
    4. Staying the course in Iraq
    5. Increase troops in Afghanistan
    6. Standing up against a KGB Putin
    7. Freezing non-military spending

Should we start cloning to make sure we can accomplish everything in the next 2 years?

On the flip side...Damn it Obama...answer a damn question and stop being a defensive politician!
