    Default We will never forget.

Fellow board members, September 11th, 2001 is a date that shall never be forgotten. This thread is made to pay tribute to the innocent Americans that lost their lives as well as the brave firefighters and emergency services that risked and sacrificed their lives for the safety of the people on that faithful day. I would also like to honor the brave men and women in the armed forces fighting to protect our freedom against oppressive forces.

EDIT: I also want to honor the brave passengers on United 93 that sacrificed their lives to prevent the extremists from achieving their goals which would have been disastrous. We will never forget these brave men and women.

I can remember getting off work that morning turning on the tv. I first saw what looked like a movie with really good fx. Then I realized the same "movie" was on every channel except from different angles. That is when I realized it was real and my heart sank so deep.

I will never forget that day...

I was a senior in High School and was "sick" coughcough. My mom wakes me up early that morning and says to come up and watch the television. I climb the stairs (being in the basement) and sit down on the couch looking at the breaking news live on television.

I see one of the twin towers with smoke coming from it, the other still happens to be still fine, standing tall, safe. A minute later another plane swooshes in and impales the not so safe tower! My eyes locked at the television, I didnt think this sort of thing would really happen. I sit there and watch, waiting, wondering. Then, the towers one by one fall, and I sit there in complete awe.

Better late than never. I remember waking up at around midnight and mum was on the phone to my dad (who's American) talking about what she just saw on the news. I didn't know what she looked so stressed about til I looked on the TV and saw the twin towers fall and the news reporter talking about it ... the only thing I remember after that was feeling completely shocked ... the world cried that day ... God (Primus, I believe, is his second name) bless the souls of those poor terror victims ... the first but unfortunately not the last victims. I hate thinking about it now. But I believe in time fate shall wage justice on the souls of the terrorists who committed this atrocity and other atrocities that followed after this one.
