No it's a simple fact of free enterprise and individuality. Believe in individuals inspiring others, rather than the collective inspiring individuals. If the government becomes corrupt, like in Britain, Russia, China, the worst it's going to be is if there is a huge government with lots of powers, like under socialism.
Went to Britain 6 months ago, spent 2 weeks there, it's horrendous(small piece of advice, never go to Britain). No freedom of speech, thought, movement, government controlling everything, everyone. A total loss of national identity, paranoid population(dumb as well), wouldn't want America to go that way.
I guess it's always down to the people in charge, no system in the world is immune to corruption.

Simple reason, we are not all equal. School shows that. Some of us have more abilities than others.

I have issues with bailing out all greedy bastards (corporate or individual).

I pay my fair share plus, but I'm not creating jobs either... and I'm not getting richer, but I'm doing okay, ...for now, and I'm working three jobs.

There is a line there somewhere but I don't know where it is as it seems to vary from one place to the next (size, etc.).

Warren Buffett, who in my book is a fairly smart bird thinks the 1% need to be taxed more and I'm not going to argue. I'm also a card carrying member of the NRA.
So, which party do I belong to? No, I don't think it's all that black and white either, but I love it that we can come here and post ideas and thoughts without being beheaded or the arms ripped out. With that happy thought, I'm off to get stuff done.

I wanna be clear, I'm only 23, and I definitely haven't experienced the same things as some other guys in here.
You seem to know plenty, guys from where I come from are ignorant on most social issues, I admit that.

But look, corporations made America, Obama is zig-zagging strangely on the economy.
Obama attended the Chicago School of economics. If you didn't know it's widely known as the intellectual centre of modern American economic conservatism. They believe individuals making separate decisions always function better than government managed economies.
Obama himself has agreed with Reaganism, great.

It's the part of politics that makes no sense, Barack Obama is appealing to the discontented Americans, who are fed horror stories about corrupt corporations on a daily basis. It's unhealthy.
And know this, the deficit is not as bad as it was back in 1992. Back then it was equal to about 5% of gross domestic product, it's about half that now.
If Obama is elected, hope he's a pragmatist, otherwise some of us are in serious shit, if the more hard line pro trade barrier people have their way.
