To veto or not to veto, and who gets to veto.

Everybody is entitled to an opinion, whatever it is and however they want to put it out there, be it Matt on television or someone on a board. That people get so excited is interesting. I'm looking at all the evidence which I have available to me but I'm not getting excited. I know who I am going to vote for, but I'm not pointing to the ticket I'm not voting for and going "OMG they are awful, etc."

This is best the parties have put forth for us to choose from. It's a bit like dating. I like a little bit of each of the candidates, but I'm not in love with any of them per se, and I only have to put up with their happy horse shit for four years at a time. None of them are perfect and the last I checked everybody's shit stinks (really it does I don't care what the handlers are telling you).

But why people get so excited is beyond me... you'd think the world was going to end if one side gets in verses the other. Seriously, we didn't even get to vote on the Super Hadron Collider going live or not. No matter what the parties say going into office, it'll change once they sit in the Oval office -- always does (theory verses reality).

There is a guy that lives in my neighborhood that looks like a lost hippie from the sixties who rain or shine is out on a corner holding up a sign that states "impeach Bush/Cheney". He's still doing it -- die hard for sure. I'm just wondering what he's going to do with all his time when the next president takes office. Worry about that little fella, ya know. I am a liberal but I know how to tolerate. Ah yes, I have great respect for our politicians and government as well as the American people of course. Yes, I will admit it, I am pretty slanted to the left. I also have Republican friends and family. It's pretty funny actually. But I never go out and insult. Okay, so I do a very good Bush impersonation but its good, clean, humor. Anyways, I honor John McCain's service to this country as a Vietnam Veteran as well as his long time service in the senate. I have respect for Sarah Palin as well. The reason I support Obama and not the McCain ticket though is mainly the issues they stand for. Matt Damon has the right to express himself, however, it should be in a mature and intelligent manner unlike what he showed in that video. Maybe even some politicians can learn this too, I am against negative campaigning like attack ads and fear mongering. Free speech can only go to a certain degree, in which it is not violating other people's personal freedoms.

-I hate Bush, but no, he did not create the terrorist problem, Osama bin Laden did. We can all agree on that. But whether or not Bush handled it properly is very controversial.
-No, the bad economy is not entirely the Republicans' fault, nor is it entirely the Democrats' fault, both sides can find fault in this some how.
-Yes, middle eastern oil dependency is a major problem. America needs to be self sufficient, thats what would make us AWESOME. Have you seen T. Boon Pickens's adds on TV? The guy makes major points on it.

Actually Bush has been the over achiever in the stupidity department. He has failed to make this country safer, attack a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 and has let Osama Bin laden run around the whole place while promising to bring those who where responsible for 9/11 to justice.

The struggling economy is a global phenomenon, it's not completely the Republicans fault.

But the Republicans have made it worse in spending more than we should and borrowing against our future (and in the process cutting much needed revenue by giving billionaires and corporations huge tax breaks while burdening the middle class beyond belief). The economy in this country is the center of world's attention. If we fall, everyone does too. If we rise, every does too.

But Bush's lack of initiatives to invest on renewable and green energy have made the addiction worse.

man.... Where to begin.first I guess I'd like to say that it's been awhile and a trip to see nelson so respondent... secondly I'd like to say I voted for Ralph Nader; when bush was elected.
