Thread: Revenge of the Fallen

    Default Revenge of the Fallen

Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen :

The car crash with Shia is unexpected, but we are still filming. The movie has not shut down - there is plenty to do without Shia. The shooting is also going great - I'm having a blast making this movie! Shia will be back soon and we wish all wish him a fast recovery.

Well at least you have more time to work on the CG for the film.

Oh, one more thing, how about that earthquake?

Tell Shia that we love him! He needs all the support he can get right now.

Nice to hear from you Mr. Bay. Haven't seen you around here in a while.

First the WGA, then SAG, and now Shia...considering all the B.S. this production's faced, it's almost a testament of your crew's resilience that it's still chugging along.

Best of luck, Michael, and here's to an epic sequel.

I agree it puts an end to any speculation. And gives fans a reason to move away from the story and go back to surfing the web for set pics.

    I'm a dog chasing cars. I don't know what I'd do if I caught one. I don't have plans. I just do things. I'm not a schemer.

I use a knife because guns are too quick. Otherwise, you can't savor all the emotions. You know who people are in their last moments.

I believe whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you... stranger.

I remember when it was announced that Mr. Bay would be directing the first Transformers movie, some of my friends freaked, but not in the good way.

"OMG, he's gonna ruin the franchise!"
    "It's over...I can't believe Transformers just died."

...and so on. Didn't help when they saw the new Transformer designs. But I always stepped in and defended the man. Not that he needs it IMO. But I did anyways.

I asked them if they saw the Bad Boy movies, Pearl Harbor, or Armageddon. Of course they said yes. I asked them if they expected a new Power Rangers movie. They asked why. I told them if Mr. Bay created the movie like they wanted, in the old G1 way, that's what the Transformers would look like. Like the Power Ranger robots. Blocky and cheap and unrealistic and campy.

I also mentioned that while there is a lot of Transformers mythology, the storylines in reality are rather shallow. That people are going to see the action. The Transformers. To see the robots kicking the crap outta each other. Not get in on Primes love life.

And that if they saw the above named movies, they would realize, Bay was the man with the plan for the Transformer movies. I would usually tell them this is the type of movie Mr. Bay will just explode on. That it was pretty much the perfect type of movie for him. I wasn't wrong.

When people actually saw the Transformers in action, saw the newly minted queen of the screen Megan Fox, saw Shia's rather convincing Sam....and of course everything in between, they went nuts. Praising the movie that they claimed a few months earlier he was gonna destroy.

Moral of the story? Some say to never question god. I've always said to never question Bay. lol God probably answers to him too! And who's bad side do you really wanna be on?

Bay took the franchise in a new, refreshing, slick direction IMO. Bay and his Bad Boy band of workers not only brought the series to a whole new generation of people, but also helped single handedly revive and pump new blood into the franchise. Thank you Mr. Bay and your Bad Boy band of workers!
