Saw this on the live action movie blog. Pretty interesting how that 3D model is the exact same as the concept sketch. What was interesting was that some guy posted it in the ask bay forum and Bay replied to it saying "Cool, maybe fore Transformers 3".

if the design got to 3D modeling there may be something to this rumor... or not. as for Bay saying no, could have meant I'm not ready for you to know.


But you have to figure that bots like Arcee made it to 3D for the first film and never showed.


In any case, it's nice to be getting news, even if it is all lies.

It's fake, both the drawing and the 3D image are fan made.....

I wish we could get some kind of official comment on which bot's are in the movie... If only to stop the.... simpletons coming up with increasingly stupid ideas about who XXX is, ETC.

But you have to say, they look pretty darn good. I dont actually mind if thats one of the final concepts of a character.

Do you have access to post it? I really enjoy seeing the 'fan-made' stuff. I also don't mind the speculation. It's fun. Kinda like being a kid trying to figure out what he's getting for xmas.

i just hope to god that the orange "trax" head thing is not final... i get a distinct Jar Jar Binks vibe from it and that's not a good thing.

It's got the dopey eyes, droopy ear things and the head looks like Johnny 5 and Jar Jar had a little too much sakke one night and made this thing.

The other stuff is NICE... even Long Haul.( which i think that if you're going to use a truck known as the T-rex then it should be the alt for a certain autobot we'd like seeing) but hey... it's not my movie to make.

There aren't that many actual Transformers meshes on there (It's mostly BSG, StarGate/Wars/Trek) but if you take a look at the fan stuff on here you can see just how good Fanart can be...

And how some stuff can be mistaken for Real movie/TV-show images.


It's interesting to see the ICT split in two.... i've been wondering exactly how it split since i first heard about it.

I thought it would split left/right not front/back.... I can juut see the butt TF moaing about how he's/She's the butt end of the ICT.

Im not trying to say its real but it very well could be. You really dont know if its fake and not to start an argument but I really hope that simpleton comment wasnt ment toward me... if so then please say so!!!

right now, the design is up in the air. we are at a point were we can't really trust anything to be fact or fiction. but I will say this. seeing a lot of production art in the past year, Longhaul looks more like production art than fan art.

So even if not real it is a well drawn pic and render if Bay thinks its cool enough to be in number 3 but I have faith that well will in fact see the constructicons in number 2

Yeah I think Bay changed his mind when he saw Josh's design. Now we can see another f***ing big robot on big screen

Also, without confirming what Soundwave will turn into (or the Ice Cream truck robot), Roberto Orci stated that Soundwave will not be an ice cream truck, nor will he be an iPod or a combiner made of many iPods.
Asked about Jazz, the answer was a solid "NO" to appearances in either flashbacks or a full return. Where does this leave the recent image leaks? Watch this space for more information!

Asked about Devastator, Roberto's response was, "IF such a thing were to happen, it would be done very realistically".

Roberto Orci also again stated that this movie will deal more specifically with the mythology of the Transformers.


And last, but not least, a question that has been asked by many fans: Will a potentially resurrected Megatron be adopting the name Galvatron? The response to this question is:

I predict we won't see a teaser trailer with Eagle Eye, it comes out in 2 weeks and Bay is too busy with shooting to cut a teaser for us unless its just an Decepticon Logo which says Revenge if Coming 2009.

Anyway – just thought I would update everyone on what I saw. Seems a lot of major trailers will be coming out in November and star trek will have the Transformers 2 full trailer before it.

That write up is misleading. It says "big trailers in Nov." and then Star Trek having a full TF2 trailer. That's cool and all but ST got bumped to May '09. I would assume they would have a full one ready by that point.

Are they filming 2 and 3??? I find it very very odd that Bay would shoot for this many months now, it's a little too long of a shoot for his pacing. It's WAY too long! But indeed seems right on track for a 5 hour film/two part... Especially knowing the studios will jump on a 3rd, I think they might be filming 2 and 3 all at once.

No they are not filming 2 and 3. The reason why its taking this long was because of 2 things. The actors strike and Shia's injury slowed things down a little bit but didn't do anything too significant to the shooting schedule.

Plus Bay said they are filming this in a way as if there isn't gonna be a 3rd movie.
