I was thinking this was just another gimmick-ridden post Beast Wars alternate TF universe, if I ever needed proof there it is. I guess Proper Transformers ended with the 20th century.

Ya I have heard this rumor for some time now about the merging of Prime and Jetfire. If done right it could be cool but Im still not sure it should happen. I know hasbro is going to try out a toy for this idea and it was talked about for the movie but not sure if it is really going to be used Also ... what does everyone think about them saying the Vett is Sideswipe?

I assume thats Prowl, with the claws and the pouncing driving legs, no other autobot's name speaks feral and yet stealthy attacks, but prowl [Hound is more sniffing, scouting and retreival] It could Be Hot rod but I dont think Bay could pass on the flames, seriously. and the face seems a little more weathered and middle aged, [compared to bumblebee?] I dunno. As for Sideswipe, I would like to assume Bay knows we want to see the brothers as twins so I dont think thats him unless theres a fold out to that picture.

I think this movie is going to have elements of pretty much the whole franchise, not just G1. So I see no problem with a Jet Optimus.

Mini-Cons would definitely be a problem though. :deadhorse1:

People are hearing the news about the merging of Prime and Jetfire and then they freak out and say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

But then once they see the merging happen on screen and see how cool Michael Bay makes it, they will say "HOOOOOOOOOOLY!! That was freaking cool as hell!!"



I am guilty of giving a WTF expression when I read the combining news but I just visualized it in my head how Bay would make it look and I was like , "now that was cool and something we haven't seen before"

no mini cons i can deal with humans in the movie but minicons in the movie would make it terrible and anyyoing as long they dont decide to add minicons to films im up for anything.

That just means to show that the whole idea of Optimus and Jetfire combining was really based off the cartoons, not necessarily G1 but at least it was from the Magna Jet (Optimus) Convoy idea.

I don't know. It all smells fishy to me. Months of companies trying to stop the flow of authentic info, only to wish some key information. How do we know the Sideswipe info is not misinformation?

As for Optimus and Jetfire merging into a robot, I suppose it could happen. One combiner is already confirmed for the movie. This may be a way Optimus is planning on dealing with the devastater brute.

Yea...

Bump ET's Transformer tuesday, all we got so far was a lot of buildup then 3 F-16s flying overhead and Explosions as Shia and Megan and some GI's run through the EXACT SAME damn set from the Skorponok fight in the white sand in Mexico.

The only thing that transformed was in the Knight Rider commercial. No robots, no news, and a photoshop title. Excited yet?

Well Shia did say that it was way more explosions than the first one.

The real story is the Mariska Tormei [prolly spelled that wrong] was the best dressed at the emmys.

I will just suggest the name of the movie be changed to Gimmik-Formers.
