Did anyone see this? Shia Labeouf got arrested for a DUI in an accident that he caused. TMZ is reporting that he injured his left hand in the accident and is currently getting surjery. Wow!

ok once he was caught shoplifting, later he was fined for smoking in a non-smoking area, and then later he was caught on camera saying derogatory statements to his friend.

I didn't think much of those because it seemed pretty normal amongst friends at that age. And shoplifting was his first offense since his celebrity status.

And now drinking and driving. All I gotta say is what is wrong with this kid???

I like him as an actor and he's a lot of fun to watch but off screen, he's just a chain-smoking, wreckless punk. I don't want to believe that because I'd like to believe that his on-screen charisma reflects how he's such as a positive human being but boy, he really is quite the rebel. When you reach this kind of celebrity status, as much as you'd like to do such things and make human mistakes, as well as stupid mistakes, just remember you'll be in the public eye.

That is absolutely correct, he is lucky to be alive. He could have died.

Its interesting that there are lots of fans out there who are glad that he didn't die for the sake of the movie than his well being.

I'll confess I'm guilty of that regarding Heath Ledger's death because I never really got to know him by a lack of watching his previous films.

But I really enjoy watching all of Shia's films so I'm just going to stay positive be happy that he is alive in general.

He's a twenty-two year old boy with the weight an entire film franchise on his shoulders, up to his eyeballs in money, swag and babes. Of course, he's an idiot. I'm mad, but I'm not really surprised. I just hope to God this gets him to chill the fuck out. Too many good people have already died this year.

The most important thing is that nobody was killed. The poor woman he hit will probably get a whole new car with an extra bag of apology/don't squeal money in the trunk and he'll (hopefully) learn from his near-death experience and get himself right in the head. I'm also thoroughly unimpressed with the "female passenger" who chose to ride with an intoxicated driver. He's the star, but it's not just about him. Everyone around him has a responsibility for this.
