Its the same car??? Most of the changes that are almost not there were done for goverment regulations. The mirrors and markers and front air dam and gas cap. what else is not the same. I tired to give you the best view of both the concept and the finished product.

Sweet! I don't see why people are complaining

Any rumors or news of "Hideaway" lights in the future or aftermarket?

That would really set the car off!...along with a real cowl induction hood and a couple of SS badges to replace the Bowtie on the grille

Thumbs up Re: The New Camaro Coupe

    Cant order it just yet

    and ohhh guitarded,

in another thread about certain chevy's. Remeber how I said GM has been under rating thier engines. The LSX engines are high reving engine and are very happy at making HP at 4-5-6K RPM. The Camaro SS is rated with the LS3 - 422 @ 5000rpm yet the Maximum Engine Speed for it is 6600rpm.Thats another 1600RPM to play with and if I know my LS1 and LS2 engine families and a few perks of knowing some of the people responsible for these engines. The LS3 should be no different.

So that is the production Camaro? Almost has no difference to the concept other than the larger fog lights, side lights, mirrors, normal door handles, and what appears to be a moon roof. Those differences are not that obvious nor would they even be a concern. this car is a triumph!

That is the production Camaro SS. And that silver SS is going to be on the big screen sometime soon Christian Slater I beleive is the actor driving the car.

Hideaways cant be done anymore. Goverment regs say headlights have to be exposed all the time now. Thats why the vette went with regular lights. The aftermarket? Well not sure if it will be DOT approved but I dont see why not?

It does have a cowl hood though small. But the need for cowl induction is kinda gone now as FI has taken over. Though the 4th gen Camaro LT1's they were played around with a cowl induction before going with the hood scoop..

Pity about headlight regulations, but I bet there will be some show cars done with hideaways at Sema....or at least some kind of shudders.

A lot of old school folks will want larger cowl induction hoods...just like they had 30 years ago

I'd expect no less from you

I'm sure you have a set of rims picked out for it already

When you get a chance...dump the goodyears that come with it, and put on a set of Falkens (ZR rated)...you won't regret it. The handling and traction improvements are unbelievable

i have already put my order in at my Chevy dealer down the street. I dropped $10,000 on mine already Its a hard top and they dont hit the market till Nov of 09. Mine is black but as soon as I get it... its going to my uncles shop to get purple pin stripes with the purple Decepticon symbol on the front fenders and black rims with the symbol in the center like the Autobot ones on the twins in the next movie. The rims are running me $2,000 a piece. I'll make sure to put up all kinds of pics as soon as she is all mine. I will live in this car

it all depends on who you know I dont know how much yet but that isnt stopping people from putting money down to hold one. And my dealer has his inventory list already. In his first shipment he has 10 coming in. This guy is a friend of a friends of my uncles. I hope you understood that lol. And ya its not that they cant but most wont.
