It's fun to see what they come out with as movie tie ins. Too bad I can never get one of them since I have to be a fan in secret.
They call me Ratchet Girl for a reason. Sometimes Skids girl.
    Yeah, I'm a girl...SO FREAKING WHAT????

    HA HAW!!!

really tho, Movie toys suck bawlz they really need to reconsider the TFing and up the quality, theyre inventive and some were alright but if TAKARA somehow got involved we could get some prawpour die-cast pieces. but that wont happen.

Die-cast would make the toys too expensive, though, it would be cool.

I would like to see toys of characters from the first movie but with completely new molds and transformation scheme more close to the CGI models.

man... I was bubbling with anticipation when MBTF was coming out, I assumed we were going to see some sexy ass Masterpieces, then I saw the TF designs and wanted to slap somebody. those designs arent real, they cannot be done so toy designers have to cheat. I have been a Tf fan my whole life but if it was a movie accurate toy I wouldnt transform it for fear of breaking, plus considering how long it took them to tf in the film it would take eons to transform the damn thing properly and get everything to click.

I don't agree with that too expennsive business. especially for the movie, If animated was trying to die cast I would say that is stupid. But I think the film was trying to bring adults to this childish idea, besides the fact that adults had already proved their fanhood with Masterpieces and Binal-techs. if the TF was quality a price point of 20-40 fo a plastic Hasbro type or 75-150 for a real 1:24 scale metal piece isnt outrageous, its actually pretty standard. Im not talking the whole toy line, they obviously have to give something to kids [seems to be something pointy and sharp] I mean a Collectors grade like Macross or... I dunno

I dunno If the MPs lost them money or what, because the movie would have been the perfect place to really start selling some collector items, and opening the line, for all those adults who aparently love Transformers and probably have a desk somewhere.

Problem is ILM doesnt work with the toy designers, and theres no general plan, thats why Autobots Transform different depending on what side of them youre on. Our director should be the glue that is binding these companies and departments.

I think the real money is in expanding upon the springy auto-transform mechanisims of the Machine wars/Beast wars, they could do so much, for example if you classic unhook the chest from the torso and the limbs all spring to where they should click it makes the intricate parts a non issue, and Transformation realistically quick. This is all in hoping we are done being in awe of the act of slo transforming and now it's a matter of quickness and style [I dream while awake.]
