Dark, gritty and surprisingly smart, “The Dark Knight” gives most superhero adaptations a run for their money. And need I say it? The late Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the joker redefines not only the character, but Ledger as an actor. Three of my friends and I are watching the IMAX version on July 20. Unfortunately, the seats are assigned and we have to sit in the second row from the front (the showing was pretty much almost sold out when I ordered on movietickets.com).

Hopefully, we won't have to tilt our necks too high up to gaze up at a 100-foot screen

The IMAX screen is at a theater called The Bridge in Los Angeles. It's one of those "classy" theaters where they even have a bar inside if you wanna booze up before watching a flick (or afterwards after watching a film like Speed Racer or Indy IV).

The only other theater chain that has assigned seating as well are the Arclight theaters in Hollywood and Sherman Oaks (in CA).

The best part is that none of the trailers really showed you much of anything. Can't wait to see it again in Imax!
