I watched his speech last night and I must say it's one of the most inspirational speeches I have ever heard. I loved how he said that "we are Americans before we are Democrats and Republicans". I have never seen a more positive attitude from a politician. This man has inspired a new generation.

Wow, you are truly ignorant. You clearly have no idea how Stop-Loss is applied to members of Army. Soldiers are being held well past their four years. Like myself, begin held over 20 months beyond my four years. So I signed up just to get drafted. Also, your white sheet comment just makes you look like a bigot. Which you probably are. If you've got such a lust for warfare, march your butt down to the recruiter's office. It's easy to talk a tough game, a whole other thing to play one. Remember, this country ( Iraq, where I am at right now ) NEVER attacked us or had anything to do with 9/11. Al Queda? This is my second time over here and do you know how many Al Queda members, or people that where funded by Al Queda, that I've detained or witness being detained? None. Zero. I'm not saying I'm all big on Obama, but if you want McCain to win then you are pro-war and need to go sign up as Infantry, today. Because he will keep this mess running.

So is Hilary not running anymore? Is that what this means "taking the democratic nomination"?

Typical liberal. Always taking the moral high ground.
So in your book the 50% of Americans who vote McCain are war mongering fascists?
Look Casey whoever you are, this isn't Vietnam, you weren't drafted, you signed up. And you are being paid.
Our opinions are influenced by our lives and experiences. Don't believe you have all the answers.

The truth is, Republicans will vote Mccain, Democrats Obama, and the swing voters will make the difference.
If Obama wins, it doesn't mean he will have a mandate to do as he pleases. His election will be more symbolic than anything. The world won't change.
Remember 2004? The economy was suffering, the war was unpopular, America was falling into recession... Did Kerry win? nope. Bush did. Nothing is certain.

It helps when you scare people into believing that gays will destroy marriage, that liberals will take their guns away and that Iraq will get worse if a Democrat has chosen.

And the US has changed. Only 25-30% support their so called president.

BTW, in 2004 America wasn't falling into a recession.

Yeah, I guess I am a dirty "Liberal" taking that damn moral high ground. Isn't that what I am suppose to do? How dare I show good moral character. I'll work on that.

So in your book the 50% of Americans who vote McCain are war mongering fascists?

No, and I never said anything close to that. However I do feel that there are many Americans who don't really know what goes on over here. Who are you going to believe? The news who doesn't mind the war because it equals big money, or a Combat Vet that is currently deployed? I am not going to lash out at people who voted for McCain because that just makes me look stupid. However, I will call people out who make racist comments. The best way to change anyones mind is to sit them down and talk to them. Show them my films and talk to them like real people. Not just hate them because they think different than myself.

    Look Casey whoever you are,

My name is Casey J Porter and I am great filmmaker who is only getting better and I risk a lot to get these videos out to people. To include my pay, future and current health care, and in a few cases, my personal safety. That is who I am. www.youtube.com/caseyjporter

this isn't Vietnam, you weren't drafted, you signed up. And you are being paid.

No this isn't. This is another type, and very different, screw up.
Yes, I did signed up. The practice of Stop-Loss is not explained to people when they sign up. If you ask about it you are told not to worry about it, it never happens. Let's call Stop-Loss for what it is, the new draft. People who where drafted in Vietnam got paid. So what is your point? I get paid, but not for being Stop-Lossed.

Our opinions are influenced by our lives and experiences. Don't believe you have all the answers.

No, but I do have a very different and much more clear perspective about what happens over here as I am here right now and this is my 2nd tour. So don't be too quick to write off what I say.

The truth is, Republicans will vote Mccain, Democrats Obama, and the swing voters will make the difference.
If Obama wins, it doesn't mean he will have a mandate to do as he pleases. His election will be more symbolic than anything. The world won't change.

The world won't change??? No kidding. I never said Obama was this bright shinning light that will heal the world. Where are you getting that from?

Remember 2004? The economy was suffering, the war was unpopular, America was falling into recession... Did Kerry win? nope. Bush did. Nothing is certain.

The war was not as unpopular as it is now, by a long shot. America was much further away from a recession than it is now. So Bush still had some support. The fact of the matter was that the Democrats dropped the ball by not having a much stronger person running.

I don't mind a health debate, but don't write me off and call me a "Liberal" since you really don't have enough information to go on. Notice how I have not called you a "War-Monger" or anything else like that? I will not say that my time in the Army has given me more of a right to express my views, because it hasn't. I just have more experience in this field than others. I'm not going to march on to the set of Transformers 2 and tell Michael Bay how to make it because I watch the Special Features on DVDs and make short films here in Iraq.

Oh, okay. Now its Obama or McCain. To be honest Obama seems the better choice because he's probably what the country needs right now. Someone told me he hasn't much experience but maybe that's a good thing. I just hope he doesn't get in office and try to be assassinated just because of the color of his skin. Its hard to get away from hearing such things from Ky's country hickville assholes. I can see why Clinton won here. I swear if your not in the cities its totally different. Ugh...I hate it here.

its incredibly difficult to assassinate a president. the amount of work that goes into checking and clearing, and protecting a large miles radius around a president wherever he goes is enormous. You'd have to pretty much be god to assassinate a president these days.

You wanna know why Bush won in '04?

    "Senator Kerry, what's your plan?"
'You can read it on johnkerry.com'
"Would you mind telling us about it?"
    'It's not George Bush's.'

Granted, Kerry spanked Bush silly in that first debate but Kerry just had no plan. Obama is what we need. Guaranteed if he ran in 2004, it'd have been a very different four years.

Wish that were the case, but it's not... just means the collateral damage would be more.

or rig a presidential election? no it is extremely possible. when the press let the voting scandal in 2000 go with no fight at all assassinating a president would be childs play.
