Great News on TF2

Ok.. so not really.. lol.. just seeing if Bumbles is actually restraining herself.. WHICH.. she probably isn't..

Anywhos.. I never realized it because they never sold any in the stores in my area, but apparently there were a number of different "Transformers" shoes that were produced by Nike and put out August 9th of 2007. I happened to find at least 1 pair on eBay that was decently priced, but man oh man.. some of them are going for $150 or more!!!! Yikes.. I'll let ya see em for yourselves..

Nahh the link just goes to a page that talks about some of the Nike Transformers edition shoes that came out last year.. thought it was kinda cool for whoever didn't already know about it

I hear ya there. When I saw something about Transformers edition I thought it'd be really cool, and granted there are 3 different styles.. I just don't seem to think any of them fit it just right.

Do those even have logos on them? Unless there's a big flashy Autobot logo up front where everyone can see, they just looks like fancy clown shoes.

Well your belt buckle can take care of that....

But yeah, I do like where their heads are at with these shoes, I just would have preferred a more subdued color scheme with the actual logos or something like that as well. Not just the "Nike" in TF font, with grid patterns reminiscent of the old toy packaging.

The original pictures showed them with the faction symbols on them. When they were actually released, they didn't have the symbols and just said Nike on them. The shoes are supposed to portray what the Generation 1 boxes that the action figure toys came in. The colors are supposed to be the similar colors to Optimus Prime, Megatron and Starscream. The insides of the shoes give off a circuit board feeling with the same lettering and coloring as the Generation 1 Transformers logo.

Ehh.. apparently my Transformers Animated thread is a big hit and still going strong.

And bumbles.. yeah it was to tease ya but still to talk about the shoes unless someone else already talked about them at one time.. and if they had.. I didn't look. I just posted about it because I found them interesting...

The Air Max (Starscream) shoes sell for around $140. I was lucky enough to find some on eBay for $57 (plus $15 s&h). Depending on what size you are I think they still have a pair of size 9's up.. I think. no.. wait.. size 8.. here..

Yes.. these were geared towards adults. Kids already have their own shoes they can get for $10 at Walmart. Nike wanted to do a TF shoe for adults.
