What's the first image that pops in your head when you hear 'Michael Bay'?
For me it will always be the image of Nicholas Cage holding up those two flares at the end of The Rock as the jets blast by.
This is special to me because I literally turned to the person next to me and asked "Who directed this????"
During the credits I specifically looked and saw Michael Bay, and that's when the fandom began.

Yep..... Soccent Air Base in Transformers.
I was so impressed by the sound and effects. Found out the director was Michael Bay and said "wow... I want to direct movies now!"

Click the little button with the mountain and a dialog box will pop up, fill in the field the URL of the pic and click OK.

A number of different ways.. You can
1. Upload an image to photobucket, then click on the link it gives you for IMG code and paste it here
2. Right click on a picture and hit copy, and then paste it here
3. Find the URL of the image, and then insert it with [ IMG ] and [ /IMG ]
4. Use the URL with the yellow box that contains the mountains

Well, obviously the first which comes to mind is a shot of a helicopter (or more) in front of sunset.
Too bad even those typical Bay shots are too short in a Bay movie.

See i disagree, i've seen this shot done in Tony Scott movies, Rambo, various WWII films.ya, ok... no i dont think so

Don't get me wrong, even thou this shot isn't a "Bay original" shot, i still love his visuals, primarily the slow-mo stand up/spinning camera shots of Will and Martin, Nic Cage, Optimus Prime, i don't remember the shot in the Island, Armageddon, PH, and to me, like EVERY shot from the Rock pops to my mind when i think Bay, the flares, Connery's "Welcome.....to THE ROCK", Nic Cage giving a thumbs up and "......OKAY?! what does that MEAN?", you get the picture

Oh man, there are entirely TOO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM.
I think I'd go batshit crazy if I had to choose from Pearl Harbor, Armageddon, TF, the Rock, The Island, Bad Boys 1 and 2....there's just no way.

okay, but it was still done long before he did it in the Meatloaf video.....Bay did the helicopter flying against a sunset thing long before he got into the movie business...
look, i'm not slamming him, i like that he's made it "his" signature shot in each movie, i'm just saying, that shots been done alot before, most of his "signature" shots are originals, the sunset one isn't, even though he's since made it a Bay signature, i enjoy looking for it in each of his movies.
anyone tell me if the spin-cam/slow-mo stand up shot is in these 3?i don't remember the shot in the Island, Armageddon, PH,
