Potential Material that is going to happen in TF2 -

If you look hard enough you find clues, a remaining fragment of the cube was retrieved out of Megatrons chest by optimus, well in some of the past Transformers material a certain *warning potential spoiler* Buster Witwicky helped resurrect Optimus prime with a fragment of the matrix when the Autobots captured all the decepticons and were leaving Earth an explosion occured on the ship. So this could be potential spoiler in the future that optimus prime will be left in a real bad way at the end of TF2 to get you to come back to TF3 and Sam will reboot him with the matrix fragment it might not happen exactly as I tell it but anyway it seems highly likely to me. The piece could be used by the decepticons but , just reading this story about buster witwicky it seems so much like what they will most likely do. Also note that when buster recieved the power from the matrix he had the power to manipulate Metal

Maybe ,but a fragment of the allspark remains, and it kinda looked like a deliberate shot to recognise Prime holding on to it in 2007 TF. The Matrix Im quite positive absolutely exists in 2007 movie prime even shows it when he scans the holographic globe of the earth for the ALLSPARK I think its a little before that, I would have to watch the film to remember. I could be wrong, but I really dont think I am.

Now that I remember it you maybe right. I've only seen it 3 times. It could be that or as Ury put it its his spark but we never seen the others spark's when they were up close. There is a lot to go on in the movie and the mythos so everyone could be thinking something.

I don't know if anyone was aware of this, but in some movie guide I read at Boarders, Cybertronians are in a near state of invulnerability and high power when in their original Cybertronian form, in which Megatron was. This could mean that Megs' body could have resisted the extreme pressure of the ocean and may come back in the sequel!

At a certain point in the movie, Prime told Sam that if necessary, he should push the All Spark into his (Prime's) chest. At that point, Prime opened up a bit of his chest plates to reveal his own spark. It wasn't the matrix, as we might think that it would be. Thats one of the confusing things about the different universes. In Generation 1 and 2, they were never referred to having any sorts of sparks. The only time their chests were ever opened, were by Constructicons while working on Megatron, or when Ratchet would repair an Autobot, or When the Matrix was passed from Optimus Prime to Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime (and perhaps A3 to Prime). Yet in Beast Wars, they made it a point to reflect that all Transformers had sparks. Yet there wasn't a single time when they talked about the Matrix. Even when Optimus Primal found Optimus Prime's still body, frozen upon the ARK after Beast Wars Megatron damaged Prime's head. When they opened his chest plate, it revealed only Prime's spark, and nowhere did it show the Matrix. So what ever became of the Matrix? From what I can tell.. once it was depleted in the very last episode (Headmasters 2 part show), it has been gone ever since. This doesn't necessarily tie anything in to the Movie Universe though. So as to if there WILL be a Matrix or not.. is simply a question of uncertainty.
