I personally own a PS3 and love it. My son has a Wii at his moms house. Both are entertaining systems. One thing that (and don't take this the wrong way) that you might like about the Wii, is that its got its own WiiFit now designed more towards the female gender pertaining to aerobics, yoga, etc. Not sure if you are into this sort of thing, but figured you would like to know. Then again, I don't think Wii plays Blu Ray.. Unless you already have a blu ray player, then this is a better pick. I'm only curious as to if Sony will come out with some sort of fitness program now.

I'd definately recommend a PS3. I know that it improves the quality of basic DVD's, but seriously, Blu Ray is just whoa!. HD is nice, but Blu Ray is incredibly amazing.

BTW, I dont own a PS3. My stepson does, and I have to fight him to use it, but its worth it lol.

You'd have more fun out of a Wii and then get a BD player when the price lowers. A stand-alone BD player has more movie watching options anyway and comes with component cables that have no irregular connections. Don't give in to fanboism.

Why are there even people buying crap like the Wii? Not that the ps3 has great games right now (except the best game ever gta4 of course, but thats also on x), but it will have soon (mgs4 e.g.)

PS3 also has Warhawk
Wii has WiiFit

And yeah that WiiFit does look like a good thing.
