Today my heart nearly stopped
I don't normaly go into uni on a friday as i have no classes then but today i had to hand in my report my one of my sciences partners said she will meet me there to give me her part of the report.

when she got there she told me that a very strange thing just happened a guy stopped and asked her to get in to show him where to park he wanted to pay something at the bursing buidling which was right in front of him my friend said no that he should just park in font of the buidling or go to the clearly marked student parking and park there but he was very insistened ! she said no and walked off, when she told me my blood ran cold how many times have i heard that ver same story with the most grusome outcome in the end, i told my friend to tell security while she was givingthe descreption she said that if it wasn't for the fact that she had to meet me she would have gotten in !!! (I can just thank God that she had the sense not to !)

i know that you guys live far away and think that this does not concern you but guess what it does ! this girl turns 21 my gut instinct tells me that if she did get it she would most likely have been rapd or murdered
scary right and still with alll the warning stories being published and shown on t.v young girls still do this because they look inoccent.

i am writing because i want to beg if you don't know the person asking you to get in then Don't !!!! t doens't matter what the excuse i've heard them all he's new to the country, he's confused or lost, i don't care rather be safe than sorry if you can give him verbal directions do so and move away don't lean on his window either as he might grab you and froce you into the car.


i know this is a long post but please please take notice i know your going to say it will never happen to me but guess what i said the same thing and it nearly happend to someone i know so please take care ! i would like to meet you all maybe some day ! and i can't if you have gone missing n can I ?

I've heard of these stories before.. but you only hear the bad stories. There have been more times then once that someone was genuinely looking for help. I've been in the situation before where I'd ask someone for directions and they wouldn't want to give me the time or day. It more or less made me feel like crap.. or like they were all snobbish.. and yes.. even in Iowa we have snobbish people..

It's hard to tell these days who's good and who's bad. Best thing to do is pretty much always be with a friend when walking on a campus.

i know you always hear the bad stories but people these days are scared we weren't trying to get them in the car were you ? you can still be friendly and helpful and still try to keep yourself safe the same time giving directions and getting in the car to show the way are two different things that's true unless you are a loner like me but yeah

If a guy stops me and asks for help I will assist him. I really do have a friendly nature. But the moment they try any funny business I have no problem with slicing their throat. And if I had a daughter, she would be tought the same things. Have a weapon, know how and when to use it. Have backup weapon in case first fails.

If someone is trying to kill you, you have every right to protect yourself. Remember what happened here in NH about two years ago? A man that was stalking this guy's young daughter actually broke into her bedroom. He crawled in the window, and he was naked. The girl screamed and her father ran into her room. Daddy was armed with a shotgun and he shot the guy in the chest. The force pushed the guy out the window. He died instantly. He was not charged with ANYTHING. The Attorney General filed it as Justifiable homicide/self defense.

I don't mean to be confrontational with you, because your heart is absolutely in the right place, but a lethal weapon isn't a good idea. Of course, these things are probably different from state to state, but in CA at least, the law has rules about levels of equal or greater force. Killing a man who turns out to be unarmed can land you in jail. You'll also be subject to a civil suit by his family, if he's got one.

ok guys heres a scary one. It happend here in Michigan. A friend of mine and Shadows had a man sneek into her house. Our friend Kelly is 29, married and has a 10 year old daughter who was 5 at the time this happend. One day Kelly was home alone with her daughter Lindsay. Well Kelly's husband works a lot and is only home like a few days a month. When he does come home he brings loads of stuff for Kelly and his daughter. You know toys and closes, stuff like that. well on this day Kelly put Lindsay down to sleep for the night and about an hour later Lindsay comes out of her room and walks into Kelly's room. I agree that is a last resort situation. No one really wants to seriously harm someone attacking them. But you can't let them kill you or your children either. It is such a complex thing.

I've had a strange experience too.

I was twelve at the time in Prince George, and some creeper asked me and my friend to look for a dog. (And we were like hell no.) Anyways, this jerk grabbed her arm and tried to pull her down (And no one was around) anyways, unknowing what I was doing, I swung my fist and hit the guy in his face and hit him right in the nose. The guy ran off and my friend was crying and we ran back to my house. Ever since then, I don't listen to anyone stupid to try that shit with me and no one messes with me(considering the strong punch that I now have).

And Rhonda, I agree with you 100%. It is good to have a way to defend yourself even if it means to brutally hurt some jerk-off who thinks he can take atvantage of young girls like that.
