if you have a chance you might want to go see this movie. Some might find the plot kind of outlandish, but the performances had just the right touch of subtlety.

"...my heart is turned to stone; I strike it, and it hurts my hand..."
What about the fight sequences? Authentic MMA? I was actually gonna wait for DVD for this one (not because I'm not feeling it, but because it's one that I'd rather catch at the house)
I like Chiwetel Ejiofor's performances. Under the radar kind of actor, pretty good in the stuff that he's been in. (Inside man, American Gangster, Serenity, etc.)
The fight sequences were authentic Brazilian jujitsus. it wasn't glossed up in anyway. It was raw. When they fought it was grappling and holds a few throws. Ejiofor's performance is what connected the movie. toward the end it was like he was in the middle of a tornado trying to hold himself together. when the movie first started I didn't think to much of the character's depth but as the movie progressed his character made more sense and i was more connected to him. By the end i was awed by the character and the performance.
my Favorite movie of his is actually Dirty Pretty Things.
yeah he channeled his old drug dealer persona. he worked it wasn't a huge role by any means. the movie threw a few curveballs. you'll think you know where it's going then all of a sudden it hits you and your like where the hell did that come from then you by the end you'll see how the web is weaved
I was going to d load it but once i remembered he was in dirty pretty things i had to give my money up. it was worth my 10 bucks to be honest. i kind of want to see it again more than i do iron man. I think im going to catch son of rambow this week to. spend some time with the indie movies
Wow.. Tim Allen in a somewhat serious role? Looks interesting.
