After all the "Soundwave needs to be a tape deck", "Soundwave can't be a Tape deck", "hurray, Soundwave is a helicopter", "booo, Soundwave is a helicopopter", "hurry, Soundwave is a boombox", " booo, soundwave is 5 ft tall", "we're saving Soundwave for when we can do him right" (what does that even mean?!), so on and so forth. You don't think he's just paying lip service, in terms of whose extreme fanbase is more pathetic and rabid (debatable sometimes)?

I mean in a roundabout way he's kind of saying that TF is a toy franchise with no previous real life counter part = more room to play with where they wanted to/wanna go with it. Star Trek is real life with various incarnations = they have to tread a little softer with what liberties they take. I feel that he's just being diplomatic is all. He doesn't have the same candor as Bay, that's for sure.

Hopefully they'll just forget about the cube (it's a shard at this point) and find something else to be the focal point. We'll see.

But the (rabid) fanboys will be greedy nonetheless. They won't be able to take the character being in there as the victory. Now they'll want a foot from the inch they've been given (like last time), now comes the alt-mode he "has to" be, the voice that "has to" be used, his origin or mythos , screentime, what freaking dialog he has to say (by Grabthar's freaking hammer!).

Celebrate that he's in, let's see where they take him, all I'm saying.
